  1. Yes, welcome. I'm new too according to Redneck4sure. So join the club.
  2. Switched to Firefox on first release. I think it was called "Ph" (Losing my memory :D) something back then. Then it switched to Firebird, now Firefox. Greatest browser ever.
  3. It's not about better files, or speed. It's about supporting P2P in general. Yeah their network is good and all, to some extent, but supporting other networks will help the P2P population grow more. Making more files available all around. Like I said, Direct Connect could be done. The gift network could be added too. Which would be really nice.
  4. BitTorrent is different though. You're not forced in to sharing other files. You share the parts of the file you've downloaded already, and if you feel like sharing some more once you are done downloading you can just leave it running. That's what makes BT so efficient is everyone has to share what they're currently downloading. Nothing beats the speeds I get on BT. Nothing.
  5. It might have quality files, but can you get those files with out waiting forever? And in the process of waiting have many of the sources drop offline? It's quite annoying and useless to me. Not to mention a nice UI makes things more efficient. Yeah I can use ugly programs, nothing wrong with that. It's just a lot nicer to have one that looks good and has a good layout.
  6. Yeah... hopefully they fix that with this "upgrade".
  7. Yay a flamming frog! I'm not really new. But thanks. lol
  8. I double that and again... really sorry about this man It's all gravy. If he was having a bad day, whatever, I understand.
  9. Aww... sucks huh? hahaha. What if I punched you in the face? (Sound familiar?) lol :psychofun:
  10. The forum didn't say "Professional Reviews Only". If it did I wouldn't have posted it.
  11. Anyone else wanna call me a fuckwit? I mean seriously, if he's a mod here and he's like that all the time I'm not going to want to visit this place much longer.
  12. I think I'll stay. Just for you sweety. :horny:
  13. Comments yes. Not harrasment. You calling me a fuckwit and being a mod gives the site a bad name, and makes me want to leave.
  14. Uh, you're a mod? How? According to the main page this forum is to be used for: "Reviews or articles you wrote or found" That's exactly what I posted. And if I were you I would go read the definition of spam.
  15. No I expect them to respect my opinion and not call me a fuckwit. If you didn't like the review just say it. Don't call me names. Grow up. Note: This review is mine, from my website.
  16. This was MY review. Not yours. Just because I don't like it doesn't give you or anyone else the right to call me a fuckwit of any kind. I started posting here yesterday because I thought after lurking for 6 months that was enough, maybe it wasn't. This is why I don't post on forums, because of people like you. And for your information I don't use Kazaa. The only thing I use is BitTorrent. And if I were you I'd open my eyes and use it too and quit using that shitty software called WinMX.
  17. Listening to: Beastie Boys - To the 5 Boroughs - Triple Trouble Broadcasting on Mercora: Earshot - Two (Advanced) - Rotten Inside
  18. Not only are they still developing WinMX, they're still updating parts of the program that have nothing to do with filesharing then releasing it like it's something special. This program is so outdated it reminds me of Windows 95, even Windows 3.11 somewhat. Yes it does infact still work if you don't mind waiting a year in a line of people like you would at a busy grocery store. And don't say "Well you're not looking hard enough." I searched for plenty of stuff *I* wanted and the shortest line was 34 people. 34 people! I would have been waiting for ages. People these days want instant access to everything and this thing doesn't even come close. Which is why they need to get their act together before they dissapear. The user interface is horrid. Like I said it reminds me of Windows 95. The buttons are all crammed together, and the Settings window is confusing as hell. It kinda has the old Napster look but crammed together like sardines in a can. The chat service in WinMX is crappy too. I can stand having a random name when I logon to WinMX, but making a chatroom and having _76324GF^%RTD6HG5 attached to the end of the name of my room is a little much. If I was going to make a room on there for Swapciety.com I wouldn't want the room name to be Swapciety.com_IRAPEDONKEYSLATEATNIGHTINTHERAINUNDERATREE24/7. How am I supposed to share that with a friend? I mean, they wont even know who I am anyways, because when I logon my name changed from HolyLiaison to HolyLiaison76426356DONKEYSRULEMAHNUTS. If you're looking for some rare files that are only on WinMX, sure go ahead and use it. Just be prepared to wait a loooooooooong time to get it. What they need to do to fix their mess: 1) Update the user interface. Big time. 2) Cut down on all the buttons. Most of them are unnesessary. 3) Support other protocols like Gnutella 1/2 or maybe even Direct Connect. Which would be easy to work in with the chat service. And it would probably work much better. As far as my rating for WinMX 3.52 Beta 5? 1 out of 5. The program is horrible. I have absolutely no use for the thing. Everything I find on there I can get somewhere else in a fraction of the time it would take on WinMX. Not to mention I wouldn't projectile vomit every time I have to look at my monitor thinking Windows 95 is running. 19. I was just browsing around the bigget torrent site on the web and I stumbled across this unreleased song by Slipknot. It's a great song, which is why I'm here... maybe someone can explain to me why it wasn't released on the new CD?
  20. In response to rival e-mail services enticing customers with high capacity storage, Microsoft's MSN unit will soon announce its intentions to follow suit, BetaNews has learned. Redmond executives have been mulling over how to respond to the storage frenzy, and are set to unveil a plan that will go into effect in July. Although still in beta testing, the launch of Google's free Gmail service heated up the competition by offering customers a whopping 1GB of e-mail storage. Yahoo! fired back this week by boosting customer inboxes to 100MB and unveiling an updated user interface, which Microsoft called "quite good." "We have been intentionally quiet over this period, as we formulated our plans, and waited to see the Yahoo response, feeling it would be best to see how strong Yahoo's counter would be before going public with our own," Blake Irving, corporate vice president of MSN's Communication Services group, told employees. Microsoft hopes that by giving customers enough space, it can move the media focus away from storage as a key selling point and reduce the emerging threat posed by media darling Google. "We are going to respond in a big way and will eliminate email storage as an issue for our users," said Irving. E-mail is not the only area in which MSN is feeling pressure from competitors. Microsoft has been developing and refining its own algorithmic search engine, and plans to launch MSN Newsbot -- a service similar to Google News -- by the end of the year.
