The "problem" as i see is that people increasely want the federal government to handle things that are probably better off left to the states. Over half your list of things are left to states to handle and probably better off that they do. Because the State is more representative of people in that area than the federal government is and can have things like referendums and let the voters decide on issues. The state governments are typically more flexible and since they have to balance spending every year ensures that they will pay more attention to not waste resources and cut wasteful spending than the federal government too. Congress should do more to solve the problems and it shouldnt be expected that the President to fix everything now matter who it is, because Congress is more representative of the people.

1. It costs too much money, and is up to states not the federal government, personally i dont think that "universal" healthcare is the best solution. Let me ask you this, if we cant even get Social Security under control since it was started for many years now and if everything the government has been doing has been wrong which takes many years to do. Then what exactly makes you think that the federal government is capable of providing "universal" healthcare that is equal or better in quality now that will not cause taxes to increase out of control for everyone? Almost all of the other progressive countries in this world all are unitary governments not federal ones which healthcare, and education and etc are reserved powers to the states. 2. Why in a modern world would people comit barbaric acts like murder in the first place? 3. I dont think think the vast majority of people really want that, what makes you think people want weed and all other drugs and abusers around them in public, when they dont even want people who smoke tobacco around them? There are plenty of places for people to get help now, that is not the problem the problem is some people dont want to get help and would rather continue to abuse whatever drug, legalizing would not help them and if anything would make it much cheaper and easier for them to obtain and would just encourage their habit even more. 4. I dont think the that people should be punished for doing things right and being successfull and i dont think its right for government to tell people what they deserve to make and certainly goes against your number 5. 5. Already exists, people just dont take advtange of whats there or are unwilling to do what it takes sometimes. Certainly much more opportunity than anywheres else on the planet. 6. Again it already exists, people might be able to buy better representation but that doesnt mean that they buy their way out of things some lawyers are simply better than others. I dont really see a solution to this one that doesnt go against number 5 either for lawyers since any solution would probably require them to all get a standard pay and rationed out which i dont think they would like but i cant say im against that. 7. Please read the first amendment in the constitution. It says Congress shall create no law.... So companies like Clear Channel can put whatever they want on their radio stations because they are not congress. If anyone's freedom of speech was being imposed on then they should take it court and im sure they would win. 8. Agree but i would put it a different way, i see it more as a small group of compaines trying to use the government to legislate fixes to their problems because they refuse to adapt to the needs of the market/consumer. 9. Election reform was already done a while ago, if more people than interest groups took a more active role then this would not be a issue. I dont think people would support banning all contributions and just giving any canadiate x amounts of tax dollars which is what some countries do either.

You mised the point of many of those political threads......the beginning of the solution for the problems is to Dump Bush. But you see people need a reason, whats the point in "dumping bush" if the next person isnt going to be any better? And simply not being Bush or how badly Bush is doing isnt good enough of a reason and this whole well tell you our solution after you vote for us is pretty sad because i think people ought to know what the people they elect to office are going to do. If anything to dump bush would just be symbolic.

Then maybe people should mean what they say, rather than backpedal when someone questions it, and again if they meant it that way all along then why not simply post that in the first place? Its funny that you post that to me right after you make a long post doing just that to my post and there is no real rule on it so does this apply to everyone here and if so then why isnt in the guidelines or is this a "special rule" just for me or anyone else who questions someone on what they post and then try to backpedal?

I think its wrong to refer to anyone as a nazi or using nazi terms it goes too far and is offensive and sickening that it gets thrown around whenever someone on the extreeme left cant get their way on everything which seems to me how its done. His long winded generic speeches arent going to work forever, and he cant hijack Bush's stance on issues like he did to his oppents in the primay because hes too liberal no one will believe him. Kerry himself has probably hurt him more than anything. His whole the south doesnt matter comment in the primary, how he tried to push that he is Catholic but not professionally was just as pathetic as the comment he made about his wife's SUV.

If your going to use it to install your os then you should at least have two partions one with a gig or two for the OS and the rest for whatever. Why that is reccomended in case if your OS gets badly damaged you can just format that partition and not lose any of your files on the other partion and do a clean install of the OS. Other than that people split up their harddrives because thats how they want to orgainize it or to install another os to a different partion. If you want more hard drive space on that disk then you can turn off system restore for that disk if you want to. You should get at least a couple more gigabytes back but system restore wont restore any files on that hard drive.

Different Emulators for different systems, some are for different plateforms and others have different features and etc. Newsgroups is much better than any p2p network because some roms like mame you have to have the right verison in order for it to work. A video game forum would be nice.

I have played a few SNES emulators but i like MAME better. Which i have 3824 working MAME roms currently.

What touchy subject has he really rasied? Anti-Bush Criticism which is put out daily, the debate on guns which has been raised numberous times, just like columbine. Every issue he brought up has been a widely known one well before. Which its simple why he chooses the topics he does, because he will get more attention and therefore will sell more books or films. If it means making alot of money i bet you and anyone else would lose any fear of touching contraversal issues real quick.. You are right he is effective at his propoganda. He won the academy award last year really because he was Anti-Bush and the academy voters made up of people in hollywood which are known to be skewed to the left as a way really to take a shot at Bush to some degree. It means that his peers in Hollywood thought he was the best but they are just one group of people.

His use of "creative editing" to fabricate a more positive arguement to his view is really no different than lieing IMHO. Giving a few mins to people who say things that he agrees with and with sad or light music and then cut to the sound byte of someone he doesnt like with a noticeable much darker tone of music. It doesnt take long to figure out what he is doing if you pay attention to the techincal details. Spike Lee doesnt do any of the tricks that Moore does and he is a much more acclaimed , respected and effective. The press has been highly critical of the Saudis for years now.. These things were covered although they didnt become a media circus as other events. I dont think that "debate brings the truth out" all debates have mainly scripted answers made in advance anyways. And when someone doesnt want to admit the truth they just change the subject or go on about same old partisan attacks that have been going around for a while that everyone has herd. If anything Moore actually hurts the issue he trying to promote because i think many people are well aware of his extreemist views and he lost any crediblity he has had to the general public long ago so i dont think anyone that doesnt have the same views as him is going to take him or his point of view seriously. My opinion is that he isnt performing a public service of any kind and will say anything to "shock" people to buy his book or films. No different than Shock Jocks on the radio who do stupid things to get listeners.

Michael Moore is just one of many idiots in today's society using media coverage as the soapbox for his opinion which he promotes as fact.. But when it comes right down too it he will say anything to make a buck which as far as im concerned is all that people like him do. Which happens on both sides of the political spectrum. This isnt censorship, a person doesnt need to have to have a major movie company to put out a flim, people dont because they wouldnt be able to cover the cost of a national release, especially marketing. But it has been done, the most recent successful one without a major studio behind it was The Passion. Mirimax also releases all of Kevin Smith's movies(Rent "Clerks" if you havent seen it) and also Kill Bill so i dont think it has to do about keeping the family image either.

The problem with the complete lack of mature titles from gamecube (other than one or two) is because Nintendo wont allow mature rating games to be released on its system. I dunno why nintendo is just losing all the people like me who grew up playing on its system who have to go to other consoles or PC now.

Looks like Monster Magnet will have a new album out next month called Monolithic Baby!. I havent listened to alot of the songs yet but it sounds great so far. Unbroken I would have to say is my favorite song on the album so far. If you haven't heard any of their songs before they have alot of good cuts like Black Balloon, Doomsday, Down in the Jungle. I saw it the night it came out. The movie was great. Pai Mei(i think thats how you spell it) was my favorite part along with the saying "Your about as useful as a asshole right here." It didnt have alot of the massive action scenes which might dissapoint some who expected it from the first but i thought there was plenty of action to keep it entertaining. I dont think alot of people know that it was all suppose to be one movie until they had to split it up into two parts because it was too long, i thought it helped to make more sense knowing that myself too. The bad thing was the couple in front of me brought their young kids one had to be under 5, to see it which i thought that was pretty fcked up.. Hero trailer did look pretty sweet so ill have to see that one. I want to see Van Helsing next which im pretty sure it opens next week...

Anyone else here ever listen to any TMBG. They are the ones who did the Malcom in the Middle theme which some of their other songs are much better.. Am I Awake is pretty good and is one of their recent songs, other good songs they have is Ana NG, Birdhouse in your soul, and Particle Man(from their earlyer days).

If you remember the forum reform plan was nothing new, in fact it took about a month and a half to complete with over half that with community feedback. Which unless you wanted to do something that was duplicate of something already in there then it was taken seriously. Really with how some conducted themselves and everything seemed to be a joke to them, which its funny when they want to be taken seriously when everything to do is a joke or "joke." If it still takes 5 mins then there is something wrong with your internet connection. Forum slowdowns in the past were caused when the server load was pretty high.. Which I did post the reason why at least a few times over there too, i guess you must have missed it..

Not true, If you look at the "Advanced Users" section which was there when it was beginning there is the cd cover art forum, which was rarely used. In the forum layout plan which wasnt stuck too for the most part, there was also a forum planned for music, not based on genre but just a general forum for music. It was never really "denied" it just never got done in the rats nest that was created and never took shape.. Which was completely up to the admins not me, warez was never a issue at all. There were three "what are you listening threads" that were going on in three seperate forums at the same time.. That happens because the forums were very(and still kind of are) disorgainzed. Which is why i "made a big fuss" over them, which could have easily been solved but wasnt and so i had to work with what i was given. Anyways just wanted to clear that up. I do have a sense of humor, but most of the shit that i guess is suppose to be "funny" just isnt very funny mainly because they are all "inside jokes" or small variance on a old one that ive seen before.
