  1. Oh they finally noticed they're gone! Maybe I'll put them back now.
  2. No the Kinks had a brief late'70's early 80's renaissance with Low Budget--I remember when they came around on that tour. Van Halen had just covered "You really Got Me" and the Kinks seemed to come tearing out to show everyone how it was really supposed to be played--the buzz at the time was they were the shit, the source, the go to guys, and they sold out the local civic center no problem. They also put out a live album from that tour I think, that got some airplay. But definitely check out Low Budget if you've never heard it before. This 1979 classic, which was almost impossible to find just a couple of years ago has actually been digitally remastered--there's a good review here. :groovin:
  3. The thought of razor stubble, uh, down there...no thank you. Sandpaper. Nothing like that feeling of having sex with sandpaper. I like to keep my face clean shaven since I got that complaint from an ex years ago. And it rubs both ways, if you catch my drift. She might LOOK clean shaven, but when thngs get moving fast you'll find out soon enough if looks are decieving...I'd rather have a little of nature's dental floss instead, or *ack* cough up a furball or two.
  4. :good job: This is an excellent thread--lots of great info! I have a feeling many of us will be referring back to this over the next few days lol
  5. Sephiroth wouldn't recognize a joke if one were pissing on his leg... At least we don't show people eating babies, which I have learned will be ZP's next new addition, since we don't have a baby-eating forum. Nate you fucking rule. :rotfl:

  9. Why thank ya, thank you very much.
  10. I was one of those folks who came here to get away from the crap at ZP--largely the nonsense dealt out by one Sephiroth. It has been nice watching the "old gang" take shape over here, and the best part was there was no BS or 'forbidden topics' and everyone here plays well with others (so far). While I agree heartily that if I wanted to see what's happening at ZeroPaid I could just surf over, I can understand the recent spate of ZP threads given the fact that many of the members were or are ZPers, and for those of us that have pretty much stopped going there at all like myself, I am glad to hear of the changes that have taken place over there and that some good people have been promoted, and the nonsense that made ZP no fun anymore is receding into the past. I like it here. Good possibilty I will never go back to ZP, except to check out new apps... But I would hate to see Hunter just disappear into the woodwork at this point--this is a great place to relax and let your hair down, Hunter, and I like flatt and scruggs too. Good music is good music, and if any of us do not pass on that one good track or album or artist to the rest of us it will let the man get us down! Hang out and post what your listening to, add to the music threads--here it's all about the music! The Beat IS king here at BeatKing!
  11. I was wondering when the rest of you guys would see that... That's what will happen to you too if you listen to Windowlicker for 38 hours straight (you get one inch of bust an hour) With a rack like that you'll never leave the house... And Moonie...you and your paper bag keep away from me!
  12. 13. Congrats Hunter! I have always found your moderating to be quite superb, even that one time we butted heads long long ago--everything was worked out in pm's and all was cool, no blood spilled or hard feelings--you have a good sense of fairness and a sensible approach to the job--you and Janet are great choices for supermods, though I'd toss CH in too to make it an even three. Wait, is three an even number? whatever--all three of you have my deepest respect is what I mean. :good job:
  14. CJules13! Welcome to Beat King! It's good to see you here. :good job:
  15. I have a celtic calendar on my shoulder. Unfortunatley it was so intricate and the line-work so fine that over the years it has all run together, and looks like a big black circle now...it's the only tattoo I'm thinking about getting covered up. Thinking of putting a big Cthulhu over it.... I've never gotten a mosquito bite on a new/healing tattoo, but it's inevitable that I get one on a tattoo at some point every summer. For some reason it seems like they itch worse than the standard mosquito bite on non-tattoo'd skin. Filthy insect bastards! :reallymad:
  16. Given the current chief executives fondness for expletives this could prove to be interesting.
  17. There's one that got away from me last night!
  18. It's too bad circumstances have forced Powell to have to work with these morons...he would make a far better president than Shrub, and both the US and the world would be better off if he were. Of course, if everyone's vote had counted in Florida, this whole conversation would be moot, but now I'm straying far off the beaten track...
  19. Wow--sounds really intricate! I love tattoos like that. Is it blackline or in colro? I have a blackline wrap-around on my right forearm of a battle from Middle-Earth...Gandalf standing aside a pile of smoking skulls blasting a spell at the Witch-King, who is about to dispatch Eowyn, and Gimli is hacking his way through orcs to save her. There was some other stuff we were going to add, like a band of runes or ruined buildings in the background, but never got to it. What are your frontside tats, if you don't mind me asking.
  20. A culture of violence only breeds more violence...
  21. Don't worry, Koop--We could write a book on jazz greats and leave some out. I know tomorrow I'll look at that post and go "Doh! What about so and so, and..." Jazz--Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination...Spock would grok jazz, man.
