P. Diddy Dissed By First Lady

p_diddy.jpgIt appears as though the normally silent First Lady, Laura Bush, has refused to stand next to P. Diddy a.k.a. Sean (Puffy) Combs on a stage in Ohio. The two were set to appear at the opening of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, OH when Mrs. Bush's office made it clear that she would not share the stage with Puff Daddy at last night's event (8/23). The rapper was set to play at the museum's dedication concert. "He was planning on doing a photo with her," a Combs aide has stated. "But we don't understand why she wouldn't want to stand with him." After hearing of Mrs. Bush's protests, Puffy cancelled his appearance. Perhaps Mrs. Bush's concern has something to do with the fact that Puff Daddy has been spotted out partying with her daughters, Jenna and Barbara. Earlier this year reports came in that the twins were extremely intoxicated at a party with Puffy and Ashton Kutcher. Perhaps it's that Puffy has dedicated much of his time to his latest organization, Citizen Change, dedicated to registering young voters.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
