SAN FRANCISCO - In a ruling with coast-to-coast effect, a federal judge declared the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act unconstitutional Tuesday, saying it infringes on a woman's right to choose.

U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton's ruling came in one of three lawsuits challenging the legislation President Bush signed last year.

She agreed with abortion rights activists that a woman's right to choose is paramount, and that it is therefore "irrelevant" whether a fetus suffers pain, as abortion foes contend.

Not to mention we're guys. ;)

Despite pot-shot theories, it has no true effect on us. I say leave it to women to debate.

Unless you have feelings Shawn, or maybe "deeper feelings" if you so contest. I wouldn't want to see or imagine any living human in pain, with a few exceptions, that do not include vengeful pleasure.

With so many idiots in existence, I believe unborn children deserve a chance at life, just as we were given (with the rare exception of mortal danger to the parent).

Who knows, maybe they WONT be fucking idiots, and actually contribute to humanity.

You could be aborting Albert Einstein, Gandhi, or Method77!

Stop! Please!

And fuck a pig, abortion wont help the over-population problem anyway, so don't go down that morbid road, like I did in my mind.

I shudder to think of life control, and other Chinese government like tactics.

for myself, Id never want a woman I was with to have an abortion. BUT (big but) ultimately it is the woman's choice in my opinion. believing anything else relegates us all to a male biased chauvinistic world in which our great and glorious leader can decree what a woman is allowed to do with her uterus. to that, I must call bull shit.

Im thinking of pregnant young teens (and sometimes preteens) that I have met in free clinics. many of them did not even know what a condoms purpose was. or what an std was. what would come of the child born to such an undereducated child who had basically no chance herself? it is only fair that the mother (and her parents) have both of the above as well as abortion explained to them in detail and then presented with options.

Im thinking of girls I have known who were raped and one who got pregnant as a result. she was herself against abortion but could not imagine raising a child concieved in such a manner especially while still a teen herself. so I went to the planned parenthood with her and held her hand.

Im wondering, ken, if you've ever met anyone who was fucked at birth or condemned to a pitiful existence devoid of everything but ignorance and decay finalized in death at the ripe old age of 18. you talk of fucking idiots who dont contribute anything to humanity but there are those who never had a chance- regardless of what you might think or of whatever argument revolving around self determination that you might make.

extenuating circumstances are the exception to every rule.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
