Bob Dylan Stars In Sexy Lingerie Ad!

Recommended Posts

BOB DYLAN has made his first ever TV advert appearance in a commercial for sexy lingerie.

The 63 year-old legend is captured leering at a scantily dressed model in a US advert for underwear chain, Victoria's Secret.

Dressed entirely in black, Bob Dylan sports a pencil moustache, goatee beard and eyeliner as a remix of his 1997 song, 'Love Sick', is played in the background.

Victoria's Secret are also offering a nine-track CD of Bob Dylan's music to coincide with the commercial.

Internet messageboards have been flooded with both angry and delighted fans, all shocked by Bob Dylan's decision to star in a commercial for the first time in his 40 year-career, although he has previously lent his music to adverts.

I don't understand why people get angry about musicians, or their music being featured in ads. Maybe somebody can explain why that's a bad thing?

It really depends on the band. If a bands claims to be anti-capitalist and such, then they sell their song to the gap or something, then the fans think they sold out and that they're hypocrates.

But then again some people are just idiots. The same people who complain about a band that changed their style, would still complain if they had 10 albums that sound the same.

You cant please everyone.

From Telegraph.co.uk:

'There could be blood on the tracks for Bob Dylan after he appeared in a television commercial yesterday for luxury lingerie.

Asked in 1965 what might tempt him to sell out, Dylan replied: "Ladies undergarments". Now the the Woodstock generation has been jolted by the sight of rock's most enigmatic performer appearing alongside model Adriana Lima as she slips into something sheer to cavort in the Palazzo of Venice...'

I would link directly to the story but you have to register to view it.

So there you go, Bob hasn't sold-out, in fact he's remained true to his word

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
