What will the music of the future sound like?

Recommended Posts

lol, well you might have a point there ken :P Unfortunately it seems like alot of artists in the pop genre today take alot of liberites with classic rock licks and phrases, claiming it as their own, I guess there's no objection and I'm sure it's gone on ad infinitum but personally I think it changes the term "original song"

Yep..and its usually their best stuff... Sometimes this music dabbling results in something interesting...electronica comes t mind...but the biggest problem with all this sampling is that good songwriting seems to have taken a back seat these days. When's the last time you walked around humming a tune by 50 cent?

Isn't plagiarism supposed to be the highest compliment? Sampling is nothing new really.... musicians have been influenced by other musicians for years and copied each other.

Putting together samples is just another interesting artform bu claiming it as your own isn't really on!

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
