Asperger Syndrome Test

Asperger Syndrome Test

The test assesses five different areas. Autistic-like responses will show poor social skill, attention switching, communication and imagination, and an exaggerated attention to detail. In other words, geekiness. You scored 36. The ranking below provides some idea of where that AQ fits in.

Scores over 32 are generally taken to indicate Asperger's Syndrome or high-functioning autism, with more than 34 an "extreme" score.

This test is designed for fun. It is not meant to test you for any disorder (real or imagined). You can't glean anything meaningful from this test without consulting with a mental health professional. It is not intended to make light of those who are suffering from autism or Aspergers syndrome. If you are worried about your mental health, see a professional.

Ah. I had hoped it was that sort of test that was slanted to produce high results.

Does explain a few things perhaps.

I guess they didn't include historians in their initial estimations...

Quick! When was the Battle of Hastings! When was the Edict of Milan?! When was the Hundred Years' War! When was Julius Caesar assassinated! Who's buried in Grant's Tomb!

So I've done a bit of reading on it in the last 30ish hours. About 50% of the people commenting think that it's an excuse for people to act like.... well, me.

That would be my stance too 99 times out of 100. The description of the people studied though rings so close to home that I'm left not knowing what to think. And there's 0% chance I'll visit a psych to compare notes.

:D

All I know is that I do tend to put people off with my inability to grasp social interaction.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
