I'm off to see the Frames in San Diego this evening. Easter Dinner on Sunday. Hope to get in to some kind of trouble on Saturday. Whataboutyou?

it`s Divx movie time here on the last frontier....me and my youngest daughter are watching "final fantasy V" at the moment....next up.."ghost rider"....have a happy easter everyone... :) :)

The Frames were fantastic - really quite a surprise as I had seen Glen Hasgard perform acoustically - but he was so much more dynamic with a band - they rocked the place; Doveman was playing keyboards. Also saw a new band, The Dynamite Wallswhich were really tight. A fun evening overall

Haircut at 9, meeting cousins to drive down to grandparent's house today for early Easter lunch, coming back tonight.

Tomorrow: seeking inexpensive business casual type clothes for new job.

two gigs at Dirty South on the thursday and one at the 100 Club friday night totally awesome as well as the after parties. i got home yesterday and slept for 20 hours straight.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
