I'm working on a script. What a hassle--the writer never keeps copies, so I have had to scan every page, change a pdf to text, then reformat. When I'm done with that version, I have to do the same thing with another version. Then I have to sit down and combine the best of both into a plausible scenario...and then I have to convince this Academy Award winning writer WHY he should do this. Luckly, I have his manger on my side.

Normally I wouldnt spend so much time on anything...but the subject matter is important, so I am going for it.

It took me a couple days to find a program on the web that transferred things to text. The formatting is taking me days for just one document. I will pm you with the details

I wish I can help you out...that's my job...and I'm damn good at it! LOLLL ; )

I have an advantage though...we have a PDF converter and other programs which help us save alot of time and aggravation.

Dude...

If you could scan the document (hopefully it's a good/clear copy) into Adobe Acrobat and OCR it (recognize text)...you could then...open the PDF, Edit, Select All, Cntrl+C and then in Microsoft Word...Edit/Paste Special/Unformatted Text ... you'll have all the text and minimal cleanup.

OR depending on which version of Acrobat you have ... you could scan into a PDF on Acrobat and Edit the PDF, add text, delete, highlight, etc.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
