Summer is over and now the real fun begins  Unfortunately, not for me... This weekend is mosty business oriented - getting together with a writer/director for lunch on Saturday to catch up and to see about getting a young client a small role. Then on Sunday I am playing tennis with a producer/financier of a young client director's first film. I will also try and get some cycling in...

What about you?

It's a working weekend for me....

Tonight I have to work some little event that popped up at the Toyota Center.

Saturday & Sunday I am at the Pavilion...

Saturday I am working Steve Miller and Sunday I am working KILT's 5th Fall Fandango with Dierks Bentley, and a few other country stars. All day in the sun!! Atleast it won't be as hot as it has been.

Hey everyone.

Still rockin' on here in NY...got out of work early to meet a couple of old friends of my husbands. It was interesting...the guy's wife love me (which made me feel really good) but now she's talkign about going to a spa in Bayside and gettinng a "make over"...is she trying to tell me somethign? O well...I thought it was nice for her to invite me. Anyway, it was fun. Work was CRAZY tonight...I helped out one of our offices in Century City and it felt good when I made the deadline.

Ok...enough...talk to you guys later. Definitely going to teh studio tomorrow...hopefully I'll be able to post one of our songs soon in the "Member's Music" Thread.

Nitey all.

Chris phoned from London last night and we talked for like an hour. i so wish i was there w/him. anyway, tonight i meet up w/Shaun, Mandy, John, Megan and Stephen for Shaun's b-day party at The Hatchet (England's oldest 400 year old pub which has been a total punk place for years). lots of piercings, mohicans, dreads and tattoos on all ages and all colors of people--i love it there.

this morning was the first time i've been outta the flat since 4AM wednesday AM. it took me three whole days to recooperate from seeing (acoustic) Alabama 3 on tuesday night but it was totally worth it. :)

ps, which The Ring? the Us one or the Japanese one?

The Japanese one was creepier, IMHO.

Apparently, a drink and a half gets me drunk.

Door to door Jesus people woke me up this morning.

Summit beer thing today, lots of bands.... maybe I'll head out there. Beer day. Nice weather. Bands like Cake and Soul Asylum (who i swear play at every local festival thing).

Tomorrow.... no plans.

No school is making me crazy.

Well I finally finished all my packing and shopping (well almost..I have to get another memory card and more batteries for the digital camera) for my trip to London and Germany. I leave on Friday the 13th in October. I'll be over there for 3 weeks. I am really looking forward to a vacation.

you are going to LOVE it, both places. is it on a tour or just moseying around by yourself or w/friends and fam? BTW, you're gonna be astonished when you see how cheap things are in DE. England, on the other hand, is horribly expensive, my biggest complaint.

Yeah I am going with my grandma who is german-born and my aunt. But I still foresee a really amazing trip. I did hear that england is outrageously expensive, however I am saving money by not having to pay for a place to stay in London. My aunt is a member of a time share and then I still have a great aunt and some cousins in germany, so I'll be staying with them. So all I have to cover is some food and leisure activities and gifts, plus my plane ticket.

It's my understanding that we are stopping by a casino in London, and we will be staying 3-4 days in berlin so I can take in the history. My grandma survived WWII with her family. So I am eager to see the history.

Oh yeah do you think a 1 gb memory card and a 256 mb memory card for a digital camera is enough to take lots of pics? And for backup I got 2 disposable kodak cameras incase I have problems with the electrical outlets over there.

I can't believe my boss is giving me 3 weeks off all at once. It's going to be great, on the plus side I think I'll also be celebrating my b-day over there ( from last week).

Dude you can go if you pay your way. No sneaking you in via a box with holes no siree. LOL

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
