That's dirty.

Using the wireless access angle to get him with something.

That's not justice, that's a personal vendetta by those in power against someone who was wronged.

I don't think it was the same person. But I could see something like that happening. Sometimes they will do anything to get those dollars in the system.

Here, they have actually budgeted a full-time parking enforcement officer to patrol the area around the community college and write up EVERY single infraction they can find. People trying to get an education, and they get a ticket for the left wheel facing the curb. I drive home every day down a street where cars are parked directly in front of the "no parking this side of street" signs, causing massive congestion, yet, it's more feasible to harrass the college students.

I hear you.

My city has been in money grab mode for a long time (since the city has been on a downward economic spiral for more than 25 years).

They've cheated many parking meters too, saying they were expired when they weren't.

This damn thing at this point is just a huge money pit which is most likely never to be used. The citizens didn't want it, especially at the county fairgrounds. House inmates where we take our families for the yearly fair, the 4th of July (dry climate caused fireworks to be banned, so this is the only place to see them) car shows, and pretty much most any form of entertainment which comes through town.

We had a city tax increase... can't remember where... but it was basicly padding to give all the city council members raises. All our city council members are the largest business owners in the area.

We have an initiative in Washington to repeal a gas tax increase...

The governer responded by threatening to shut down EVERY road project in the state if the repeal passes. If I believed our tax dollars were doing anymore than padding pockets I could live with it.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
