Smoking is crazy. My father literally smothered to death with emphysema in 1984, yet I didn't quit smoking until 1987.

Before we married in 1998, my wife told me she was planning on quitting smoking....she smokes as much, or more, in 2005.

Eddie, our neighbor across the street, lost his wife to lung cancer just before Christmas....he's still smoking.

i used to smoke 60/70 marlborough ciggies a day (and that`s when i wasn`t partying).....i woke up one morning in 1987 (after i had watched my mother-in-law die a prolonged death from lung cancer) and never had another cigarette.....never wanted or craved for one again...same with my missus who used to smoke heavily as well :)

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
