Do they recommed a complete uninstall, or is it ok to install over the top of a current installation?

It's a pain doing a complete uninstall of FireFox with stored passwords and custom settings for icons and stuff.

The Register

...the latest Firefox release is essentially a minor update users moving up to 1.0.1 are advised to uninstall 1.0 first...

ken, i came across this on fileforum.........

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozil...p/1066312445/1..

or this apparently....... The best way to backup is to just go in application data and locate the main mozilla, firefox, or thunderbird folder and just copy them to someplace else. this will backup EVERY aspect of the programs. Bookmarks, plugins, toolbar layouts, email settings, saved local email. all of it. I just go in there once a week and make a rar file of those folders and store them on my second hard drive someplace. To restore you just copy em back into application data......

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
