Favorite Swedish Band??

I don't know many bands from Sweden. I know the Cardigans and Kent are.

Unisex are Swedish and they have released a very good album.

Others I know are the Hives, the Wannabies and of course Roxette.

I know a lot of electro stuff like Plej but this is the rock section.

some really good metal/rock bands have come out of that part of europe.......i have been listening to a rock/metal/industrial band called shotgun messiah lately....their last album violent new breed released in 93...... they were from sweden but went to l.a in the early 80s...i really like them..very good guitar playing/hooks and studio production...heavy as lead....no-one should listen to this unless they like their metal fairly loud and intense..and heavily industrial....like most new (to me) stuff i come across i thrash it til i o.d...hasn`t happened yet with this band........

lol...I remember these guys.

I was into them in the early 90s with their Second Coming album. Tracks like "Heartbreak Blvd" and "Sexdrugsrock'n'roll" were the shit back then.

The singer, Tim Skold, then went on to form his own project, Skold, and released a self-titled debut album in 1996.

With the recent departure of Jeordie White (Twiggy Ramirez) from Marilyn Manson, Tim Skold stepped up to the bass duties for MM's latest studio release, The Golden Age of Grotesque. He's the blonde one with the messy red lipstick.

If you enjoy the Shotgun Messiah album(s), I highly suggest the Skold album. It has a more industrial feel to it and the majority of the songs are pretty solid.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
