  1. Kanye West made dad shoes cool back in 2017 when he revealed the Yeezy Boost 700 "Wave Runner" to the world. While sneakerheads looked at the shoe with some confusion, likening it to some kind of Walmart discount rack sneaker, people eventually came around and a trend was born. Soon afterward, every single shoe and high fashion company had their designers crank out their own takes on chunky runners. Some shoes were better than others but the trend has survived all the same. With Adidas being a Kanye collaborator, the brand attempted their own dad shoes, one of which is the Adidas Yung-1. There have been a few colorways of the shoe so far and with Spring here and Summer approaching, the brand with three stripes has a new model in store. This one is interesting as it sports an all-black upper, while each side has neon stripes. For instance, the outside of the shoe has green stripes with orange outlines, while the inside has pink stripes with blue outlines. Adding to the neon aesthetics is a pink and green tongue. According to Sneaker News, these will be dropping in the coming weeks for $120 USD. 2. Bizarre and Eminem haven't worked together in years but they built a bond so strong that the D12 member feels a need to step in every time his Detroit brethren's name is disgraced. This week, Sada Baby was interviewed by Say Cheese when he was asked if he would include Em in his Top 5 Dead or Alive list of Detroit rappers. Surprisingly enough, Sada said that Shady is only an honorable mention for him, placing artists like DeJ Loaf, Tee Grizzley, and others above the legend. In his defence, he was pretty much baited into answering the question. Sada Baby appreciates street rap and Em has never made that type of music. Bizarre has since spoken out, addressing the interviewer and letting the world know that he's sick of Detroit rappers being pitted against each other. Johnny Nunez/WireImage/Getty Images As reported by HipHopDX, Bizarre has called out the man who asked the question. He agrees that people aren't really bumping Eminem in the car these days but when it comes to his impact, he's Top 5 Dead or Alive in the world -- not just his city. "I’m sick this n***a @saycheesedigital trying to put are city against each other," wrote Bizarre. "No street n***a is not Bump at Eminem in the car .. he not street rapper." Bizarre goes on to question why people even ponder whether or not Eminem is Top 5 in his city. He compares the rapper to Jay-Z, suggesting that it would be ridiculous to imply Hov isn't Top 5 in New York so Em needs to be featured on his own list. What do you think? View the full article
  3. The New England Patriots are reportedly signing veteran wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, as they look to give Tom Brady some help in the absence of retired All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Thomas' deal is for one-year, $6 million. The Houston Texans had acquired Demaryius Thomas in a trade with the Denver Broncos last October, and he appeared in seven games for Houston before tearing his left Achilles in a Week 16 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Thomas, 31, was released by the Texans in February. During his brief stint in Houston, he caught 23 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. In his final eight games with the Broncos, Thomas had 36 receptions for 402 yards and three TDs. The Patriots will once again enter a new NFL season as the defending Super Bowl champs, coming off their 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII. New England has a total of 12 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, including six selections in the first three rounds. The NFL has not yet released the full slate of games for the 2019 season, but the league has announced that New England will host the Sunday Night game in Week 1. That said, their opponent has not yet been revealed. View the full article
  4. Earlier today we posted about reports that Wendy Williams was working out a plan to have her husband Kevin Hunter step down from his executive producer position on her self-titled talk show. Fast forward just a few hours later and The Daily Mailnow exclusively reports that Wendy has gone ahead and fired Kevin and given him 48 hours to vacate their shared home. Johnny Nunez/WireImage/ Getty "Kevin had expected to stay on at the show and as Wendy's manager. He ran the show with an iron fist, he was the guy who kept the vultures away," a source told the publication. "But when Wendy saw the photos of him and Sharina last week on the Daily Mail going out for dinner and her driving around in a Ferrari she was furious." As we posted before, Kevin gifted his mistress with a new Ferrari that was reportedly paid for with Wendy's money. As you can see below, it's now it's been towed away thanks to Wendy's swift moves. "That's what tipped her over the edge, she was like, "he's gotta go". She now wants him out of her life completely, she's given him 48 hours to clear his office and clear his belongings out of the house." Apparently, Wendy's sister has come through from Florida to help Wendy keep things in order while this is all going down. Kevin has apologized, releasing a statement on how sorry he is. "I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs," he wrote. "No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine." 5. Three 6 Mafia is arguably one of the most influential groups in hip-hop. In 2018, there were tons of hit singles that either had production from a Three 6 member or sampled the Memphis' group's songs. DJ Paul specifically had a big year himself, landing production credits on Drake's Scorpion and hinting at a Post Malone collaboration. Now, he's gearing up for his own solo project and he taps Beanie Sigel for some assistance. DJ Paul was teasing his single, "Real Money" all last week, and it's finally arrived in its entirety. DJ Paul links up with Beanie Sigel on the new track which features a haunting instrumental with a classic pitched-down sample. Paul holds down the first verse before handing over to Beanie Sigel to hold it down later on in the song. 6. Game of Thrones is the hottest topic right now since the final season has finally arrived which means a high number of people are tuned into HBO like never before. While the first episode has pulled in some crazy reactions and the "next week on Game of Thrones" teaser already has people buggin' there is one person who isn't really tuned in all that much. TMZ caught Marlon Wayans at LAX and while he was well aware that the new season has taken off, he called out the show for the lack of black actors. "I don't see a lot of brothers on it," he said, as seen below. "So there ain't no, like, Julius', Lamar's and a Jamal. Imagine a Jamal...on a dragon." The paparazzi agrees, saying how there's a "power issue even in the Game of Thrones universe." The White Chicks actor admitted that he isn't much of a fan for the series since he chose Walking Dead over the HBO show, simply because he doesn't have that much to "binge watch all the shit." If you're just getting tuned into the series now and need some pre-season refreshers, click no further than here to get caught up without watching hours of past episodes. View the full article
  7. The most anticipated album release for this year is arguably Kanye West's Yandhi. After initially preparing the project for a release on Black Friday, the Chicago-bred artist ended up pushing it back indefinitely. Yandhi still does not have a release date but brief information has been leaking out about it. Several weeks ago, one of Ye's engineers spoke about a collaboration that Kanye has with Nicki Minaj called "New Body" in an interview. After that information was revealed, the song was actually teased on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Then, an unrelated track featuring Bon Iver and Santigold leaked online, which appears to have been recorded during the Yandhi sessions. French Montana is the latest to provide an update on the work, speaking with Zane Lowe about his own upcoming album before touching on Kanye's project. Bryan Steffy/Getty Images Revealing that his album is approximately 96% finished, French Montana seemed excited to speak about one song he has with Post Malone and Cardi B, two of the biggest superstars in the game right now. He says that the album, which remains untitled, is his best work to date. Somehow, the conversation shifted to Kanye West, who the Coke Boys leader says is making some "special" vibes right now. "He’s working on something that’s so crazy," said French about Kanye. "I think he’s working on something bigger than music. When I went to go see him, he showed me something that was so crazy. But, that’s what makes people like him stand out, because he always thinks outside the box - really outside the box. Shout out to Kanye. No, but definitely he’s special, man. He’s special. I feel like he’s going to touch something that’s going to change everybody’s life." French Montana isn't the first person to speak so highly of Ye's upcoming album. Those who have heard snippets are generally impressed. [via] View the full article
  8. This year's latest entry into the Kevin Durant signature shoe line is the Nike KD 12 which has a mid-cut silhouette and a fairly interesting flyknit upper that is complemented by a chunky zoom midsole for added support. Few colorways have released of the shoe so far but Nike and Durant plan to change that as there are a plethora of drops that fans can expect over the next coming months. It also appears as though one of those releases is coming early next month. Thanks to Sneaker News, we now have word that the Nike KD 12 "University Red," which KD was wearing for the Warriors game last night, will actually be coming out on May 3rd for $150 USD. The shoe has a red flyknit upper with a layer of geometric shapes over it. There is also a faded black Nike swoosh that makes its way along the side of the sneaker. Meanwhile, the midsole is white with red and black speckles all the way throughout. Will you be looking to cop these or will you be holding out for another colorway? 9. One of the most talked about rappers right now is Megan Thee Stallion. While her twerk videos have dominated the timeline, that hasn't overshadowed her skill set as an emcee. In early March, she released the video for her single, "Big Ole Freak" off of Tina Snow. The song was already getting some attention before the video but the visuals helped the track gain more attention. Over a month after the video dropped, the song's been continuing to buzz heavily and recently helped her earn her first Billboard Hot 100 entry. Megan The Stallion has just earned her first Hot 100 entry with "Big Ole Freak." The track debuted at #99 on the chart and at this rate, it'll likely continue to climb up to the top 40. She took to Instagram to thank her fans and reiterate that she accomplished this on her own terms. "We made it on @billboard hot 100 hotties !!! Look I don’t have an album out yet, this is my first Entry EVER on the hot 100 charts, never got any handouts, I’m working my mf ass off everyday! I just wanna tell y’all I AINT NEVER FUCKIN STOPPING," she wrote. "I love my fuckin hotties keep streaming BOF!" 10. Rihanna has been putting in work lately. Whether the singer's adding new Fenty Beauty products to hit the beauty shelves or teasing us all with thirst-trapping glimpses of new Savage X Fenty lingerie--our girl has been keeping busy. While fans continue to beg and plead for the Bajan-beauty to release a new album, badgalriri's focus remains on building an empire outside of music for now. And as such, the grind continues for the 30-year old diva who took it to social media to announce she will grace the cover Harper Bazaar's May issue. Of the two sneak-peak shots dropped on the singer's Instagram, one offers a close-up look at the Fenty Beauty queen's beautiful green eyes. While the other photo, captured by German photographer Dennis Leupold, shows the face of a coy Rihanna looking right into our soul behind a white, netted veil. Here again, the pop star's piercing eyes beautifully pop out against the photo's all white contrasts. Surely, the magazine is getting their value's worth by putting Rihanna at the forefront of their beauty issue. Although fans might not be getting an album as of yet, they can at least admire the photogenic Ms. Fenty's allure on April 23rd when the cover drops. View the full article
  11. Since the beginning of 2017, Taxstone has been involved in legal happenings pertaining to the murder of Troy Ave's best friend at Irving Plaza. After he was arrested and subsequently sent to jail, we obviously have not heard much from the podcaster. We're used to tuning into several episodes of Tax Season on a monthly basis but with the host behind bars, a new episode hasn't been uploaded in over two years. That all could change this week because on social media, Taxstone has been teasing his imminent release from jail. He's also been prepping his audience for an upcoming episode of Tax Season that could be premiering as soon as this week. Yesterday, Taxstone hit up his following on Twitter to announce that he would soon be returning home "with kale breath." He then started to tease the arrival of a new podcast episode, seemingly getting his hands on suitable equipment in jail. "Should i drop a new Tax Season ep today or wednesday," asked the podcaster. Earlier in the day, he spoke on the passing of Nipsey Hussle, possibly having more to say in the podcast once it goes up. Keep your eyes peeled for a new episode of Tax Season because, according to Taxstone, it could be coming today or tomorrow. [via] View the full article

The video sticks to the theme of the "Unfiltered" track by reflecting the concept of going against moral standards in order to fully live in one's truth. In the newly released video we see Open Mike Eagle starring as an office worker who experiences bursts of unfiltered moments, mainly manifesting via Danny Brown. The visuals offer an interesting perspective into the potential dangers and freedoms surrounding letting your co-workers in on how you truly feel about them. 13. We're nearing the release of the highly anticipated film, Avengers: Endgame which hits theatres next Friday. The film has already broken records and is set to have a major opening weekend in the box office. Speaking to Variety, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, recently revealed some of the bigger plans that he has up his sleeve following the release of the upcoming film. Kevin Feige opened up about MCU's five-year plan following the upcoming Avengers film which will reportedly be the final farewell for characters like Chris Evans' Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. With Disney+ streaming service readying its launch, Feige revealed that many of the spinoffs will "intersect with the movies in a very big way. It’s a totally new form of storytelling that we get to play with and explore.” With new films set to launch as part of MCU's five-year plan, Feige revealed that there will be some new characters introduced while other familiar faces take on lead roles. “Some of these films will feature characters that you already know,” Feige said. “Some supporting characters will assume leading roles, while some new characters will be introduced." Avengers: Endgame will undoubtedly be one of the biggest -- if not the biggest -- films of 2019 and Feige believes that the upcoming flick will continue to keep fans wanting more. “We always wanted there to be a definitive ending,” he says. “There’s an amazing line that Downey says in the film: ‘Part of the journey is the end.’ That’s what ‘Endgame’ is.” View the full article
  14. Drake is a great artist who has a ton of hits and continues to amaze us with his range and ability to crank out chart-topping songs. What we don't love about Drake though, is his ability to destroy our favorite teams' ability to win by simply wearing a piece of their merch or taking a picture with one of their players. He's done it to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Michigan State Spartans, and of course, his beloved Toronto Raptors. Now, it appears as though the curse has ravaged European French soccer team Paris Saint-Germain. Layvin Kurzawa of PSG took a photo with Drake just days before a championship game. Turns out, PSG lost the game 5-1 which was their worst loss in 10 years. According to Complex, the team also lost two key players to injury, making the whole thing worse. Now, other soccer teams are taking precautionary measures to make sure this kind of thing never happens again. AS Roma took to Twitter to joke that Drake was banned from taking photos with their players. Drake is clearly self-aware as he made fun of himself back in January with a shirt that had the logos of all four teams that were left in the NFL playoffs at the time. It will be interesting to see who Drake curses next. View the full article
  15. Boosie Badazz is a pretty controversial man when he wants to be. The other day, he called out his fans during a live-stream after finding out his album only sold 300 copies. Whenever he speaks on something, you know his passion is bound to come out. Especially when you ask his opinion on current events. The staged hate crime involving Jussie Smollett has been one of the biggest stories of the entire year and even though the charges were dropped against the actor, Boosie still believes that he's guilty of faking the attack. During a new interview with VladTV, he suggested as much before addressing the Empire star's claims that he's the "gay Tupac." Prince Williams/WireImage/Getty Images In case you've been hiding under a rock, Jussie Smollett was allegedly the victim of a hate crime, being targeted for his race and sexuality. After a ton of evidence was unearthed that debunks the mystery, all sixteen charges against Smollett were surprisingly tossed. Much of the public still believes that Smollett is still responsible for paying the Osundairo brothers to carry out a fake attack on him because he was unhappy with his television salary. Boosie reacted to the news by implying that he definitely did what he was accused of but that somebody was paid to sweep the case under the rug. "I feel like he was going through a lot, the man was going through a lot," says Boosie before speaking on gay men in general. "Gay men are so real, they're real friends," said the Louisiana rapper. "Cause they got real hearts. They be real good friends. But when they fucking click, they crazy as fuck. They can turn into other people... I'm telling you." Boosie ended up cutting himself off, fearing that his words may be taken out of context. Speaking about Smollett's "gay Tupac" claims, Boopac said that Jussie needs to sit down and "get the dick out yo ass." Watch the latest part of Boosie's interview with Vlad below. 16. Someone must have really spoken out against Los Angeles in earshot of Karrueche because the model and actress has jumped to Instagram to defend the city she calls home. Karrueche has seemingly been in and out of the city recently for business and pleasure (as we can see via her Instagram stories) but where ever she is LA is her number one and she isn't down for people disrespecting her stomping grounds. Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images "I love LA and am PROUD to be from here. A lot of people have misconceptions about LA.. saying they don’t like the vibes out here or how fake it is.. (when really they’re referring to “Hollywood” and “the industry”) but that judgement comes from the people who aren’t from here.. who move here with hopes and dreams (which there is nothing wrong with) however, it bothers me to hear people say “LA is so fake,” Karrueche captioned an image of herself looking down. "LA natives are far from that.. very far. And if you have a problem with LA.. move back home. Please :) Sorry for going on a rant but I miss the fuck out of LA. (hence my facial expression in this photo). I could be from anywhere in the world.. and I’m from one of the greatest, realist cities out here." View the full article

  19. Kim Kardashian recently opened up her home to Vogue by giving viewers and exclusive and thorough look inside her California mansion. The visit included cameos of husband Kanye West and their adorable kids. The reality TV star is seen strutting through her "minimal monestary" home, revealing varying details surrounding the origin and inspiration behind the home's decor. Though beautiful and lavish, what got the attention of all surrounded the home's technical setup. Despite showing off an enormous bath tub facing giant windows and a double vanity, fans noted a specific detail: the sinks had no basins. Most sinks seen throughout the video are covered despite fitting the home's overall minimalistic theme. And it seems the television personality offered endless details on everything except that, thus leaving social media to come up with the appropriate answers. The missing tubs sparked hilarious commentary across the internet, especially on Twitter. Users tweeted their most elusive theories, bringing forth matters of engineering and piping to discuss everything from the drain's positioning to the water flow's location. The best theory thus far cites the bath-less sinks as not truly bath-less, but topped with marble covers which may be lifted with a special button. Genius. View the full article
  20. This week, YBN Cordae officially announced the title of his debut album, informing his fanbase that he would be heading out on a headlining tour soon. The first taste of Cordae's takeover has seemingly already arrived because the young Maryland-raised artist has just released a couple of new music videos, which are available now. In case one video wasn't enough to hold his fans over, YBN Cordae decided to employ an original marketing technique, filming two different themes for the same song and dropping both versions of "Have Mercy" at the same time. The first path was directed by Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade so you already know what to expect. Vivid colors and abstract imagery flood the visuals of the first version, which has become a staple in Bennett's video direction. The second video is much darker, featuring more dim lighting and centering on violent happenings, fires, and more. A more melancholy vibe is present for Path 2 as opposed to the overall cheery energy of the original clip. Which one do you prefer? Watch the Cole Bennett-directed video above and check out the APlus-directed flick below. View the full article
  21. Bebe Rexha has become even more open and honest with her fans since announcing that she is bipolar. The "Say My Name" singer took to Twitter to share her truth, detailing how she will no longer be "ashamed" of her condition. Marc Piasecki/GC Images "For the longest time, I didn’t understand why I felt so sick. Why I felt lows that made me not want to leave my house or be around people and why I felt highs that wouldn’t let me sleep, wouldn’t let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why," she wrote. Bebe further explained how she's not looking for anyone to feel bad for her, but rather just to accept her for who is. "I’m bipolar and I’m not ashamed anymore. That is all. (Crying my eyes out.)" she wrote, adding, "This next album will be favorite album ever because I’m not holding anything back. I love you all very much. And I hope you accept me as I am." 22. If you're a sneakerhead, then you know by now that the Air Jordan 4 "Bred" is slated for an official release date of May 4th, 2019. It's going to be one of the biggest releases of the year as the shoe returns in its OG form for the 30th anniversary of the silhouette. Everyone loves this shoe and its simple aesthetic proves that it will forever stand the test of time. While many of us anxiously await its release, Nike had some other plans as they decided to pull a fast one and drop the shoe early through the Nike SNKRS App in a Quickstrike release. The shoe will still drop on May 4th but Nike wanted to give those who were fast enough a shot to buy the shoe a little early. Sneakerheads rushed to their phones when they received the notification about the shoe, although as is usually the case with the SNKRS App, the vast majority of people took a huge L. Thankfully, sneakerheads who want the pair will be able to cop them on May 4th, although stock numbers haven't been confirmed. It's not yet clear whether or not they'll be an easy, medium, or hard cop. Let us know if you got through. View the full article
  23. Frank Ocean wants to make it clear. He's not actually 5'10". That's just what is incorrectly listed on his Wikipedia page. In an effort to improve his life in the future, the Odd Future singer wants everyone to know that he is actually a touch over 6 feet, clarifying that fact in his GayLetter interview. It's rare to see Frank Ocean doing any press. With seemingly nothing to promote at the moment, the young artist has kept quiet for the last several years. Since the release of Blonde, we've barely heard from him. According to Ocean though, he's been out and about. Now, he's actually trying to give more interviews to let his fans in. Sitting down with GayLetter Magazine, Frank Ocean told the publication, which focuses on queer art in New York City, about what's been going on in his life recently. He revealed that, much like any other period in his career, he's been recording at the studio and dividing time between NYC and Los Angeles. Speaking on his complicated label situation, Frank touched on his mindset making Endless and Blonde before escaping his Def Jam contract. "[Boys Don't Cry] was at the same time the records [Endless and Blonde] were being worked on, and in the same timeframe I was trying to close out this label situation I had going on. And also my Apple deal, which all eventually happened. Some of those things — particularly the Universal thing [Universal owns Def Jam, his former label] — was taking forever. So we kept working on the magazine with everyone, all the graphic designers, all the photographers, the illustrators, the art directors, stylists and makeup artists, all their agents — love them too. [Laughs] I was so high-strung over the record and all the business shit around it, the magazine was a reprieve. It stopped me from feeling like my life was on pause because of those things. It made me feel like my life was very much being fully experienced." Frank also speaks on how A$AP Rocky flubbed some of the details when discussing the singer's label situation with Angie Martinez. "I don’t even remember what he got wrong, but I remember what was correct," said Frank. "When I heard it I laughed, because I was like, It would be Rocky who would say that, ’cause I probably would never have given the real, explicit version of it. Me and him talked about it once, right after all that happened, when we were just having a conversation about the business. There was certainly noise within the industry about it, like Universal saying no more exclusives could happen afterwards. So I was being asked about it, and I didn’t really talk about it too much with people. But with Rocky, we spoke about it." Robert Kamau/Getty Images View the full article
  24. Khalid dropped off his sophomore tape Free Spirit at the top of the month and already the album has been doing numbers. Having announced his tour for the tape, Khalid pulled in his first #1 on the Billboard 200 chart just a couple days ago and now he's succeeded with yet another milestone. The 21-year-old has now become the first artist in history to claim the entire top 5 tracks on the Hot R&B Songs Charts. Kevin Winter/Getty Images The songs occupying the coveted spots are "Better," "Talk," "My Bad," "Saturday Nights," and "Outta My Head." "FIRST IN HISTORY!!!! WOW!! 25. R. Kelly has already gone to jail twice in the past few months and there's a good chance he could be heading back for the third time. Unfortunately, if he does head back to jail, it'll be for the same reason he was locked up in early March. Chicago Police Department via Getty Images R. Kelly has reportedly missed the last two months of his child support payments to his ex-wife Drea Kelly who's supposed to receive $20,833 a month, TMZ reports. The singer was already sent to jail in March after he failed to pay months worth of child support payments which amounted to $161,633. The singer was released after someone cleared the debt for him. With two months of child support owed, there's a chance he could return to jail. Kelly has told the judge that he could no longer afford the $20K a month in child support and that he wanted it to be lowered. A judge said that he'd hear out Kelly's reason but not until May 8th when the singer's next hearing is. Other debts that Kelly owed back have reportedly sucked his bank account dry. The singer owed his landlord $173k over back rent. One of his bank accounts had $150K seized, leaving him with a balance of -$13. Two of Kelly's accounts with Bank Of America also had money seized from them, totaling $154,527.22 which left him with a remainder of $625 to his name. Earlier this month, the singer was paid $22K for an hour-long club appearance in Springfield, Illinois which he apparently didn't cough up to Drea for child support. View the full article
