  1. Cleveland Cavaliers head coach John Beilein may have upset some of his players when he reportedly referred to the group as "thugs" during a recent film session, but he has the support of NBA Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley. During the January 9th edition of Inside The NBA, Shaq called out the Cavs' players for being overly sensitive and attempting to get Beilein fired. “If you have to be apologized to for your coach calling you a thug, you ain’t gonna never win. You’re soft, period… Stop being so sensitive.” Barkley added, "To be complaining about a coach who's coming in trying to make y'all work on fundamentals when y'all stink, make y'all watch film, make y'all practice hard - this is starting to be a joke." According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Beilein told his players they were playing “like a bunch of thugs," but he later apologized once the word got out. Says Beilein, “I didn’t realize I had said the word 'thugs' but my staff told me later I did and so I must have said it. I meant to say slugs, as in slow moving. We weren’t playing hard before...now we were playing harder. That’s what I was trying to say. I meant it as a compliment." Shaq, Chuck and Kenny had some fun with the slugs situation on Thursday night, cracking themselves up with jokes like "Slug Life" and "We listen to Bone Slugs-N-Harmony." Check out the footage below. 2. Kawhi Leonard had the entire NBA world waiting upon his free agency decision, this summer. In the end, Leonard's decision came down to three teams: the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Toronto Raptors. Kawhi eventually chose the Clippers and the rest is history. At the time, there were rumors that he might be interested in the New York Knicks, although he never gave them an interview. Recently, Leonard was asked about the Knicks and whether or not he took them seriously. Leonard eventually told reporters that they were never really in his plans, which is something some fans took as a dig. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks don't seem to care about Leonard's slight and are using it to validate some of their offseason choices. Per the New York Post: "Knicks brass, however, did not consider Leonard’s comment a blow. In fact, it only confirmed the decision to pass on a meeting with the 2019 Finals MVP that would have taken place four days into free agency. The Post reported then that the Knicks considered themselves extreme long shots for Leonard. When they found out a meeting couldn’t take place until after he met with the Lakers, Clippers and Raptors, they decided to move on and sign players to fill their $70 million worth of cap space." The Knicks are currently 14th in the Eastern Conference and are in the middle of a rebuild. While Leonard would have been nice, he certainly wouldn't have fit within their plan. View the full article
  3. Drake and Future finally bestowed their highly anticipated single, "Life Is Good," on us today, and the title could not ring more true. Though it was not yet known what the shoot was for, the first hint that a collab was on the way was revealed when the two legends were spotted filming a music video in December, posing as fast food workers. The actual name of the single was revealed last week along with a snippet of the song, followed by an official announcement Thursday that the single would be dropping at midnight. While the world awaits the highly speculated sequel to their joint album What A Time To Be Alive, "Life Is Good" is certainly enough to hold us over. With the release of "Life Is Good," Drake decided to put a "face" to some of the lyrics, by posting a photo of the Patek watch he boasts about ont he track. The lyric, "Virgil got the Patek on my wrist doing front flips" in Drake's first verse could be heard in the snippet that Future shared on his IG story last week, but the Patek watch is mentioned again in the chorus on the line, "Virgil got that Patek on my wrist goin' nuts." Drake took to Instagram to show us just which watch that Off White designer Virgil Abloh designed, with a little sarcasm. "New designer you guys probably have no idea what’s going on in the scene super underground all good I will put you on to Veerjil Ablow," Drizzy captioned the photo of the green Patek Philippe x Virgil Abloh timepiece, intentionally spelling Virgil's name wrong and playing the role of the pretentious fashion buff. Virgil appreciated the joke, commenting, "Hahahahaha hahah. It’s too early in the new decade to laugh this hard ." He also shared the same photo on his own account with the caption, "'no rap cap.'" Drake commented "Front flips," referring to the lyric in his verse. Drake's affinity for flashy jewelry has been a recurring theme during this "Life Is Good" hype. After dropping over $400K on a matching chain with Future, it was reported on Friday that he also purchased a $1 million 100-carat diamond heart-shaped chain for himself. Drake is icing himself to a new level for this (hopefully) new WATTBA era, and who can blame him. View the full article

  7. Now that Azriel Clary is reportedly home with her family, the 21-year-old has been taking her life back. For years, Azriel has been living with R. Kelly and his other girlfriend, 24-year-old Joycelyn Savage, but since the singer was taken into custody, his empire has crumbled. Days ago, the world watched in horror as Azriel and Joycelyn reunited at Kelly's Chicago Trump Tower apartment they all once cohabitated. Videos quickly circulated showing the young ladies verbally arguing with each other before the altercation turned physical. "Joycelyn is sadly in jail for assault, I thank everyone for sending me lots of love and prayers. You all will know everything sooner than later. ," Azriel tweeted. Following their altercation, Joycelyn was arrested for domestic battery. Azriel also accused Joycelyn of having sex with her when she was underage. "I woke up today happy but torn, I didn’t come to Chicago for Robert... only for Joy, whom he purposely separated us because he knew I’d try to make her go home," Azriel later wrote. "Please pray for Joy, this is just tough love so she can come to her own realization at her own timing. ." On Friday, TMZ shared a report stating that Azriel is ready to work with authorities against Kelly, but she's allegedly afraid of the repercussions. "She's come to a realization that Kelly played mind games and manipulated her since she moved out of his Trump Tower condo and reconnected with her family," the outlet states. TMZ added that Clary is also nervous because she's lied to federal authorities in the past to help Kelly, so it's unclear if she will face any charges for that. Azriel also reportedly signed a non-disclosure agreement with Kelly so she may not be able to share her story publicly without facing legal issues. Meanwhile, Joycelyn has reportedly been released from jail. Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, issued a statement saying that Azriel and Joycelyn staged their fight and Azriel signed a document swearing she didn't have sexual intercourse with Kelly when she was a minor. 8. We can only imagine what Drake's jewelry collection looks like, let alone the room he houses it all in. We recently reported on the matching eagle and owl head chains that Drake and Future purchased—bling that reportedly set them back $400K. It's believed that the "Life is Good" collaborators were hinting at their joint single, but it may also mean What a Time to Be Alive 2 may be arriving sooner than later. It's not uncommon for rappers to drop a few stacks on some new ice, but Drake has been outdoing himself lately. Back in November, it was revealed that the OVO mogul reportedly spent $500K on a massive 22-carat, platinum-plated diamond ring from Gemma Fine Jewelry. Keeping with the heart theme, TMZ shared on Friday morning that Drake copped himself yet another chain, but according to the outlet, he spent over $1 million on this one. TMZ stated that Gemma Fine Jewelry was responsible for this piece, as well. It's said to be 100 carats and features a series of heart-shaped pendants all around. Check out the video of Drake's shiny new necklace below and let us know if you'd drop $1 million on a chain if you had the chance. View the full article
  9. She may have been feeling a tad under the weather recently, but Lori Harvey is back and ready to celebrate her big day. The social media influencer spent the turn of the New Year taking care of her health, as she shared with the world that she wasn't doing too great, but now that it's time for her birthday, which lands on January 13, Lori seems to have fully recovered. David Livingston / Stringer / Getty Images We're not sure how you rang in your 23rd, but Lori shared her luxury trip on social media. She gave her followers a sneak peek at her private jet that was loaded with bags, and when she boarded, the champagne was free-flowing. When she arrived at her mystery destination, someone made special, romantic preparations in her room. In the clip she posted on Instagram, Lori shows that the path to her bedroom was covered in red rose petals. There were more on her bed, however, they were made to form a heart with an arrow. Lori and her friends documented bits of the celebration on social media, and according to some internet sleuths, Future may be in the background in one of the photos. The rumored couple has been spotted around the world together, but if you ask Lori's stepfather Steve Harvey about her potential romance with the rapper, he'll just let say "I don't know nothing about that." Check out a few images and videos below, including one created by a fan who put side-by-side clips showing how Future's baby mama's Joie Chavis and Brittni Mealy's birthdays compared to Lori's. 10. Defenses are up for Moneybagg Yo and DaBaby because they need to be keen about their surroundings in order to "Protect da Brand." The two rappers linked up on the track from Moneybagg Yo's recent Time Served album that includes features from Blac Youngsta, Future, DaBaby, Summer Walker, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, and Fredo Bang. "New vibes. New bag. New music," Moneybagg told Hot 97's TT Torez. We leaving everything in 2019... We on to bigger and better things." The Memphis rapper also added that on Time Served listeners will hear "the elevation, you see the growth with the wordplay, and just the beats selection." 11. Hip hop was blessed with a surprise on Friday after Redman shared his trio of tracks for his 3 Joints project. By the time Reggie drops Muddy Waters Too, we're all going to be that old lady from Titanic: "It's been 84 years." Yet, whatever Redman needs to do to make sure he's crafting the best project possible, we fully support. In the meantime, the New Jersey emcee's 3 Joints offers three strikingly different looks from Redman. His flow is only slightly altered for each track, but it's different enough to make this mini-project a banger across the board. Back in May 2019, Reggie chatted with Take It Personal Radio and shared why he's gone down in history as one of the most respected rappers in hip hop. "Because I work hard for that sh*t," Redman said. "I work hard to be that guy that can roam with the richest of the richest and be around the tops of the circle and still get respected and then still be with the lowest and have-nots and still be respected. I love that balance." Check out 3 Joints and share your thoughts. Tracklist 1. Its A Banguh 2. Slap Da Sh*t Outcha 3. Zugga View the full article

The kicks have already popped up at select retailers in the beloved "UNC" colorway and reports suggest that the OG white & black iteration will soon be available as well. The Air Jordan Team Showcase gained popularity with youth and college basketball players in 2000. Although they weren't nearly as popular as the classic Air Jordan retros, there are surely some nostalgics out there who are happy to see them returning to retailers. Both of the returning colorways sport white tumbled leather uppers with diagonal stripes streaking across both sides of the silhouette from the ankle collar to the toe. The stripe on the lateral side is stamped with "JORDAN" branding while rewind and fast forward logos bookend the Jumpman logo on the heel. 13. His latest project may be a brief seven-track offering, but Mick Jenkins packs a punch in just 19 minutes. The Alabama-born, Chicago-bred rapper dropped off his fourth EP The Circus on Friday and it's an impressive project from the 28-year-old artist. The Free Nation/Cinematic Music Group record only boasts one feature from Dreamville's Atlanta duo EARTHGANG, and in a week, fans will be able to see them all on tour together. His featured artist list may be scarce, but there are a bevy of producers on The Circus including Black Milk, DJ FU, Beat Butcha, Da-P, and Hit-Boy, IAMNOBODI. Mick manages to have put together a cohesive project that flows effortlessly, which is becoming a rare find. Some artists string together singles and call it a project while others join together a collection of tracks and make it a record. 14. Kylie Jenner wanted to let everyone know that she is not taking the situation in Australia lightly. Over the weekend Kylie reposted her sister Kim Kardashian's Instagram story, which addressed the devastating wildfires spreading in Australia right now and spread awareness on the alarming number of animals lost as a result. “Over half a BILLION animals have been killed in Australia,” Kim's post read. “This breaks my heart …” While Kylie's repost was still up on her story, however, she followed it up by showing off her pink Louis Vuitton slippers, that are made of mink and worth $1,480.00. Kylie received plenty of backlash for the side-by-side stories, many calling her out on her hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness for sharing Kim's mourning message while wearing animal fur and dropping almost $1500 on slippers. The billionaire wanted to clarify that she, in fact, has put her money towards helping Australia, by revealing that she pledged $1 million total to 5 different organizations. Though she doesn't directly address the backlash she's received for her slippers story, Kylie says, "I wanted to talk about Australia and God bless you, Australia. I’m still praying for you. I hope everyone is still spreading awareness. I pledged—right when this happened, I knew that I really wanted to help, so I pledged a million dollars to you guys over there. I wanted to help five different organizations and just cover the animals, the homes, and...the people and everyone affected. So God bless you, I’m thinking about you. I hope, even it's a little bit or at least you're just spreading awareness, I hope that we're still doing that." While it's certainly better than nothing, considering Kylie is a billionaire, $1 million still isn't all that much compared to her net worth. View the full article
  15. Pop singers are rising from the ashes in 2020. First, it was Justin Bieber who returned with "Yummy," his first solo single in over four years. Now, his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez has popped back up on the scene with her first full album in four years, a project titled Rare. Unlike many other artists, Selena has opted to fly solo for the majority of her 13-track offering, aside from two inclusions: "Crowded Room" featuring 6LACK and "A Sweeter Place" with Kid Cudi. For the latter, the 27-year-old singer and the 35-year-old rapper collaborate to deliver a track about shedding old skin and embracing what's to come. Over the years, both artists have endured quite a few hardships that have been played out for a global audience, so "A Sweeter Place" seems like a fitting partnership. Check out the pop jam and let us know if they have a hit on their hands. 16. It was just before Christmas when Quando Rondo released a new single dedicated to his daughter, and the Savannah rapper has returned just weeks later with his full project. Last year the Never Broke Again LLC/Atlantic Records artist dropped off his From The Neighborhood To The Stage mixtape, and on Friday he shared his debut studio project, QPac, with the world. The album is a nod to the Rondo comparing himself to hip hop icon Tupac, and throughout QPac Rondo laces his album with references to the late rapper. "Poetic Justice" is obviously named after Tupac's film with Janet Jackson, “Real Love” is said to be a "modernized take" on Tupac and the Outlawz's "Made N*ggaz," and "Codeine Tales" is supposed to be something like Pac's "Thug Passion." QPac hosts features from Luh Kel, Polo G, 2 Chainz, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Lil Durk. Give QPac a spin and let us know what you think. Tracklist 1. Blue Opps 2. Real Love 3. Double C’s 4. 18. Fresh off the release of their flashy "Dr. Birds" video, a clip that brought legendary director Hype Williams into their world, the Griselda trio have been steadily expanding their cultural impact. Fresh off a triumphant 2019 campaign, which brought new music from Westside Gunn, Conway, Benny The Butcher, and a joint effort from a united Griselda, the Buffalo trifecta have seen their fanbase expand on a global level. And while it wasn't always possible for Westside to mobilize beyond the United States, it would appear that 2020 will open some new doors for the mogul. "I could drop a tear right now... FLYGOD FINALLY about to travel the [world]," writes Westside, showing off his new passport in a celebratory IG post . "The impact GRISELDA has had on the Culture I’m finally able to come THANK YALL personally, my life really just began 2hrs ago if I did everything I did from home just imagine what’s about to happ.. damn this is a krazy feeling #GODISTHEGREATEST I’m packing my shit up next week I’m OUT." What this means for the Griselda movement has yet to be revealed, but we're certainly excited to find out. Congratulations to Westside Gunn -- Flygod is a global God. View the full article
  19. The cover art for "Life is Good" suggests that Future ad Drake have been taking their time cooking up something special for their fans. Not long ago, the two rappers were spotted serving up meals at a fast-food restaurant. Some people thought it was some sort of prank, but it looks like it was all for the "Life is Good" visual, and Future's track featuring Drake is a multi-leveled mix while the video shows the chart-topping pair hard at work at various jobs. In the visual, the pair work I.T., get their hands dirty as mechanics, pick up trash for Waste Management, and sell smartphones—just to name a handful of professions. Drake opens the track with his verse while Future handles the rest. They have a few noteworthy guest appearances including looks from Lil Yachty, Mike Will Made-It, and 21 Savage, so check out the Director X-directed music video and let us know what you think. 20. With the influx of streaming services coming out these days, it feels like a large chunk of television worth watching these days is exclusive to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ etc. However, FX currently has their hands on a few critically acclaimed shows. One of them being Atlanta. The Donald Glover-created series aired season 2 in 2018 but many have been wondering when the third season would arrive. Today, both good and bad news regarding the series has been unveiled. To start with the bad news, you won't be getting a new season this year. As FX announced that they renewed the show for a third and fourth season, Donald Glover's busy schedule prevented the show from entering production. Deadline reports that FX Networks Chairman John Landgraf confirmed that the show would be making its return with season three in early 2021. FX plans on having “less than a year break between" season three and four which means that we can expect a double dose of all eighteen episodes in 2021. The third and fourth season will also be both shot at the same time with plans to pick up from where season 2 left off. That means that the third season will be shot outside of the United States. Where that might be has yet to be confirmed but we're excited for the upcoming seasons. View the full article

  25. Two women were taken into custody on Wednesday on allegations that they attempted to fraud the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation. The organization was launched by family members who lost their loved ones during the tragic attack at Sandy Hook Elementary in December 2012. On that day, 20-year-old Adam Lanza entered the school and opened fire killing 26 people: 20 children and 6 adult staff members. Handout / Handout / Getty Images The Sandy Hook Promise Foundation lists its mission as hoping "to  create a culture engaged in preventing shootings, violence, and other harmful acts in schools. Sandy Hook Promise is a moderate, above-the-politics organization that supports sensible program and policy solutions that address the “human side” of gun violence by preventing individuals from ever getting to the point of picking up a firearm to hurt themselves or others." According to ABC News, the foundation wanted to host a benefit concert in San Antonio, Texas, so the nonprofit contacted booking agents Nancy Jean and Carissa Scott of reportedly Canvas Media Group. The women stated that they were responsible for scheduling events for high-profile artists, so SHP agreed to use them to secure talent. Then, Jean and Scott penned contracts for the event: $500K for Justin Timberlake and $600K for Bruno Mars. With the latter also came a $300K down payment to secure the December 13, 2019 concert date. There were even talks of Drake, Flo Rida, Ed Sheeran, Usher, and Lady Gaga possibly being added to the bill, but what the foundation didn't know was that the women weren't in contact with any of the artists or their representatives. ABC News reports that as time drew closer for the concert to go down, investors were confused as to why none of the artists were listing the event on their social media pages. When they realized there was no publicity at all, they contacted authorities to make sure everything was legitimate. What the FBI found was that the women used half of the money to lease a Mercedes-Benz and made $1,200 worth of purchases at Saks Fifth Avenue. Jean and Scott were arrested while they were making their way through the John F. Kennedy Airport on Wednesday. They were arrested on charges of fraud, but it's unclear if other charges will be added at a later date.. View the full article
