  2. Lil Wayne's 2019 ended up a strange note. Actually, there were a series of strange events that Weezy had to deal with towards the end of the year. One of the biggest headlines was the FBI search of a private jet he was flying on. Although Wayne casually brushed it off on social media a day later, reports later emerged of the FBI's discoveries including a gold plated pistol, and what police suspect to be a gang of drugs. Kevin Winter/Getty Images According to documents obtained by the Miami Herald, records show that Lil Wayne admitted to being the owner of a gold-plated pistol found in his luggage. Documents also show that they discovered bullets and what they suspected to be cocaine, along with ecstasy, cannabis, heroin, and other substances. They also discovered nearly $26,000 in cash. Wayne reportedly admitted to cops that the gold-plated gun belonged to him when FBI agent Justin Carsten asked if there were any weapons on the plane. "There is a gold-plated Glock firearm inside his book bag ... which was given to him as a Father’s Day gift,” according to notes in the warrant. Authorities also said that the plane smelled like weed when they got on the plane. The warrant was granted on grounds of probable cause of trafficking cannabis and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. View the full article
  3. The trial of Tekashi 6ix9ine may have come to an end but there are a few defendants in the case who are aiming to overturn their conviction. Among them is Anthony "Harv" Ellison who was convicted of kidnapping 6ix9ine in 2018, among other charges. He's demanded that the court throw out the guilty verdict alleging 6ix9ine's testimony was filled with lies over the three days he took the stand, especially when it came down to his time with Nine Trey as well as the kidnapping itself. According to PageSix, the judge has shot down Ellison's attempt at having the conviction overturned. The Manhattan judge wrote to Ellison that the jurors believed the testimony made by Tekashi during the trial. “The evidence of Ellison’s commission of this crime was overwhelming,” the judge began. “Ellison’s argument as to Hernandez’s ostensible lack of credibility on the kidnapping count is particularly unpersuasive," the judge continued. Ellison’s theory that he had colluded with Hernandez to stage a fake kidnapping was unsupported by any evidence at trial,” the judge wrote. “And Ellison, who was in a position to attest as to his circumstances surrounding that incident — including, if true, that it was a staged, and not actual, kidnapping — elected not to testify.” Ellison's sentencing is set for February 26th. We will keep you updated on any news pertaining to Ellison's court date. View the full article
  4. 16-time WWE Champion John Cena has transitioned from a full-time competitor in the WWE to a Hollywood actor, but he always seems to come around for "The Show of Shows," Wrestlemania. And with the road to Wrestlemania kicking off at the Royal Rumble later this month, fans are wondering if The Face That Runs The Place will be in action when the WWE invades Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cena spoke about his wrestling days and the possibility of a return at Wrestlemania 36. "I always like for them to give me ideas and then me kind of make it my own. I know we have have a small, large event called WrestleMania around the corner. It just so happens to be in Tampa. That's kinda where I live, so I'll be in the neighborhood. Suicide Squad should be done. But it's not like I call someone up and be like, 'I wanna be in WrestleMania.' Those spots are very coveted. There are performers that work all year, 250 shows a year, to earn those spots. I would love to earn one of those spots." 2019 marked the first time in more than 15 years that Cena went a full calendar year without having a match at a pay-per-view event. He wrestled sparingly last January and reprised his role as The Doctor Of Thuganomics at Wrestlemania 35 but that was just for a segment with Elias and not a real match. Furthering the belief that Cena's will return for Wrestlemania 36, he recrently told Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, "And on the subject of WrestleMania, I can tell you this—I haven’t missed a WrestleMania since my first appearance at WrestleMania 19, and I do not plan to miss a WrestleMania for decades to come.” Randy Orton has thrown his hat in the ring for a Mania match with Cena - but as Cena noted, we'll just have to wait and see what Vince McMahon and co. 5. Nike had a dominant 2019 and in 2020, they will be certainly looking to build on all of their success. At the tail end of last year, Nike came through with a pair of Air Force 1 Low collabs with one of their favorite partners in crime, Clot. These Air Force 1 Low colorways were extravagant as there was both a black and blue version with gorgeous silky patterns on the upper. From there, a white midsole and gum bottom helped round out the features. This time around, Nike and Clot are back at it again, this time with a "Rose Gold" colorway. This shoe has the same pattern as the first two colorways, except this time, the silky material is a beautiful shade of pink. Thanks to @kickwhoshow, we now have some detailed images of what the shoe will look like both in hand and on foot. The lowkey shade of pink allows this sneaker to be quite versatile. It can go with various different outfits and will be a dope addition to any collection. These are dropping on Saturday, January 11th for $250 USD. Let us know what you think of these and whether or not you plan on copping. View the full article
  6. 2019 was a big year for Meek Mill. Without releasing much music, he did make strides in his push for prison reform, as well as his own case. His journey to get off probation finally came to an end successfully as he received a new judge and a new trial. Throughout the journey, he released the Free Meek documentary detailing his struggles with the prison system. According to Philly news outlet Billy Penn, a former Philadelphia cop has filed a lawsuit against Meek Mill and Jay-Z over the documentary. Saqueta Williams appeared in one of the episode that details Philly's "Do Not Call" list -- an index of 60 cops who the D.A. steer clears of bringing to court to testify due to their credibility. Described as an unofficial list that “names more than 60 cops whom the district attorney’s office avoids summoning to testify in court, due to credibility issues," her lawsuit says that the inclusion of her name and photo amounts to defamation as she's painted as being crooked. She was arrested for firing her gun during an off-duty altercation outside of a bar. She was later acquitted. “It lends the impression to the ordinary person that she was a corrupt police officer. That she had lied or perjured herself, which is not true,” said Williams’ lawyer, Steven F. Marino. “That’s the foundation of the suit.” The lawsuit claims that Williams “suffered harm to her reputation and emotional duress as a result” and she's demanding for damages. She's reportedly the only officer on the list that's filing against Meek, Jay, Roc Nation, Amazon, and Wenner Media. View the full article
  7. We could be seeing a drastic musical transformation right in front of our eyes and we might not know it. OT Genasis' cover of Keyshia Cole's "Love" put him in a new light, one that's showing a complete side of the rapper who once passionately yelled that he has baking soda. The rapper is seemingly transitioning into R&B, perhaps in an attempt to overthrow YK Osiris as the king of R&B (it's a joke, relax). OT Genasis' latest cover is also a throwback. Tackling Vanessa Carlton's "1000 Miles," OT Genasis puts a twist on the track that he could only pull off. With a stunning visual of the rapper playing piano with a blue bandana tied to the front, he puts a murderous spin on the Grammy-nominated single. Quotable Lyrics When I meet you, I won't miss you I'll put you under 'Cause you gon' fall, from my 9 I like walk-ups, I love drive-bys 'Cause you know I'll hit you with my 9 Yo momma won't see you tonight View the full article

  9. Bhad Bhabie entered the new year surrounded by plenty of drama, most notably when she threatened to get hit 30-year-old Adrien Broner "locked up" for sliding into her DMs. Though Broner insisted he thought the 16-year-old was "grown," he got clowned by the entire Internet for his thirst, which included his baby mother, Arie Nicole. Amid this whole controversy, Bhad Bhabie was also getting accused of having cosmetic surgery done on her face, which she vehemently denied by providing receipts. Only 10 days into 2020, Bhad Bhabie has decided to steer the attention away from her scandals and toward her new ink. The Internet sensation posted a sneak peak on her Instagram story of her tattoo artist, Kat Tat, inking her right calf, then proceeded to share a shot of the final product. In the brief clip, Bhabie shows off the massive tat, which begins up at her mid-calf and continues all the way down to her foot, ending just before her toes. She opted for a variety of pink and blue butterflies and flowers. Plenty of folks flooded her comments to offer their opinions, and there were as many heart-eye emojis as there were puking faces. It looks like the verdict lies on the extreme opposite ends of the scale, as some are "obsessed" while others are "disgusted." What do you think of this bold choice? View the full article
  10. Billie Eilish has taken a well-deserved break from reality to head to Hawaii for a vacation and some R&R. The "Bad Guy" singer hit the beautiful land with some friends in tow and shared some of her favorite moments on Instagram with a gallery post that sees her kayaking, swimming, cruising in a boat and watching the sunset. "Been gone," she captioned the clips. Kevin Winter/Getty Images While the posts pulled in all kinds of likes and reactions based on Hawaii's beauty, it's also a rare one for Billie since she's never, in the history of her career, been seen in anything other than baggy clothes that are a few sizes too big for her. Her Adam Sandler inspired wardrobe has always been applauded since Billie rocks her looks so effortlessly. "I never want the world to know everything about me," Billie previously said of her style. “That’s why I wear baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat ass,’ ‘she’s got a fat ass.’ No one can say any of that because they don’t know.” Peep her vacation pictures below. 11. While we absolutely think Joey Bada$$ has been killing it on the silver screen in hit TV shows like Mr. Robot, BET's Boomerang series and Hulu's Wu-Tang: An American Saga amongst other projects, it almost feels like the young vet forgot all about the fact that he's actually one of the illest rappers in the game. However, fans of the 1999 emcee need not to worry any further, as the Badmon may have hinted that his highly-anticipated third album may be arriving very soon. Jumping on social media not too long ago, Joey sent out a tweet (seen above) that alludes to the possibility of a new project in the works. "JUST GETTIN’ A FEW MORE DUCKS LINED UP FO I START BUCKING THESE N**GAZ [sic]," he wrote, following up by stating, "WORLD NEED NEW BADA$$ & ITZ COMING." The tweet was ended with a purple devil emoji and the hashtag #LP3, which for those who don't know stands for "long play 3," or in other words "album 3." This as-yet-confirmed project will follow 2017's ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ and his debut studio LP from 2015 titled B4.Da.$$. No word yet on an official release date, single, or album title — #LP3 sounds pretty dope though! — but we'll be sure to keep you all in the loop with any updates. In the meantime, peep the video for his most recent single "Temptation" from 2017. Yeah fam, we need some new heat! View the full article
  12. Lil Tecca's been at the forefront of the rap scene for less than a full year and has cultivated a devoted following to his artistry at the tender age of just 17-years-old. The New York-based hip-hop newcomer's one and only project, We Love You Tecca (2019) peaked at the number four spot on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart and reached a top fifteen position in four other countries upon its release. Now, the "Ransom" rapper is back with visuals to his highly-popularized single "Bossanova." In the video for Lil Tecca's 2019 hit, the teen can be seen enjoying a life of luxury in a scenic mansion in the hills. Clone effects show the teen star wondering the staircase and hallways of the multilevel mansion in a crisp white robe while he flawlessly delivers his bars. Fishbowl lens camera effects add to the aesthetic of the visuals while scantily clad women dressed in French maid outfits provide their services keeping the home in order. Lil Tecca is currently set to headline the WOO HAH! Festival alongside Kendrick Lamar and DaBaby this summer. You can listen to Lil Tecca's debut musical offering We Love You Tecca, here. 13. Philadelphia 76ers' rookie Matisse Thybulle learned a valuable lesson today as the team took off for their two-game road trip - don't forget the biscuits when you're picking up the team order. Thybulle was apparently in charge of keeping the vets fed on their flight to Dallas, but judging from Tobias Harris' IG story he botched the order. For one, veteran forward Kyle O'Quinn wasn't happy that the rook only picked up six Popeyes biscuits for 20 people. And although Thybulle claims nobody even told him to get biscuits in the first place, that excuse certainly wasn't going to fly. Lesson learned: always order extra biscuits on top of the extra biscuits that you just ordered. Additionally, Thybulle forgot to pickup the fries from Popeyes so the fellas had to settle for Chick-Fil-A. Check out the disappointment in the video embedded below. Thybulle recently missed multiple weeks with a knee injury but he returned to action on Thursday night as the Sixers' picked up a 109-98 victory over the Boston Celtics. Though Tobias Harris was giving the 22-year old forward a hard time about the Popeyes & Chick-Fil-A orders, he clearly has taken a liking to the kid. "I always want him to stay locked in and still present yourself as if you're playing,” Harris said on Wednesday, according to NBC Sports, “get to the arena the same time if you were going to be playing, stay in your routine. I think routine is big over the course of the season and not getting out of that. I am always throwing the iPad to him with the personnel in there and quizzing him a little bit after, so just making sure his mind is locked into each and every game, so when he comes back it's second nature and the same thing and he can walk right back into it." Up next for the Sixers is a Saturday night matchup against the Mavericks in Dallas, followed by a trip to Indiana. We'll keep you posted if Thybulle screws up the Whataburger order. 15. Bobby Shmurda has been behind bars for quite some time, and naturally, his time in lockup has affected him greatly. Though it's been rumoured that he will be released sometime in December of this year, it's still a ways away, and after such a long time in the slammer, Bobby needs a change of scenery. Bobby's friend and fellow GS9 member, Lefty Loc, shared a photo of his recent visit to his pal, after Bobby told him how tired he is of his surroundings. "Bobby said 'i’m tired of waking up every morning and just seeing n*ggas big bro,'" Lefty wrote in the caption of the photo. "i said i know exactly what u mean Cuhz. sit tight, i’ll be up there thursday to lift ur spirits." Fast forward to Thursday, and Lefty delivers on his promise. "Pulled up wit 3 baddies. We had a really dope funny 4 hour visit. #FreeTheReal gs9 2020 is here!" Lefty poses with Bobby and the three "baddies," in question, though it's unclear who exactly these women actually are or how he met them. The second photo shows just Bobby crouching the ladies on the ground. Bobby was also recently visited by his friend, Quavo, who, along with the rest of the Migos, will be dropping a joint project with Bobby called "ShMigo" sometime this year following his release. Hopefully these visits will keep Bobby in a positive mindset until that day comes. View the full article
  16. Apryl Jones and Lil Fizz's relationship was revealed to the world in the most dramatic way possible since they were on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood and their romance was played out in the reality show. From the beginning when they tried to keep it hush-hush to the initial reveal, everything was amplified since Fizz is Omarion's former bandmate in B2K. After months of sharing updates on their move in together, details on their personal life to reports of marriage, it was reported last weekend that the romance has come to an end, ending in a less dramatic fashion than how they began. The idea came to life since the duo no longer follows each other on Instagram and now Apryl paid a visit to Fox Soul and was asked head-on if they've broken up, leading her to respond in a safe way - that low key has us thinking they're really over. "Dreux is a great man. His focus is on Kam, my focus is on my children and we are where we are. I kind of want to leave it there," she said. Later in the interview below you can see Apryl react to those who said she broke up B2K, calling the ordeal a "judgment." View the full article
  17. Bad Boys For Life is gearing up to be one of the biggest blockbuster films of year, and we're only 10 days in! While fans are sure to enjoy the action-packed blockbuster starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, it's what the latter leading man had to say during last night's TIDAL CRWN Talk to promote the film that had many people gasping, particularly fans of late rapper The Notorious B.I.G. While the entire hour-long convo at the iconic Apollo Theater was amazing overall — trust us, we were there! — it was when the convo got to the subject of Hip-Hop and Biggie that things got interesting. After Martin revealed a cool tale of his time with the "Juicy" emcee on the set of his wildy popular '90s sitcom, Will took things a step further to reveal that he actually met Biggie for the very first time hours before he was slain on March 9, 1997. Here's what Will Smith said exactly about his short-yet-memorable encounter with BIG: "I met Biggie the night he died. I met Biggie at the Soul Train Music Awards like 4 and half hours before he died. I met Biggie, we hung out, we took a picture and all of that. I went to sleep, woke up the next morning, and he was dead." — Will Smith R.I.P forever, Biggie. Watch the full interview right now below by logging into your TIDAL account: View the full article

  19. Megan Thee Stallion continued her vacation antics on Thursday night, when she shared a video of her and her girls dancing to an unreleased track. Meg's been kicking back since the new year started, enjoying some downtime and relaxing with her friends (and her dog, 4oe!) on her well-deserved break from her music career. However, Meg hasn't totally pushed her music out of her mind, and she's making sure we don't forget about her, either. She's been promoting her single with Normani, "Diamonds," which officially dropped everywhere on Friday. Along with this Birds of Prey collab, Thee Hot Girl also gave us a little sneak peak at what else she's been working on. The clip begins with Meg asking, Why you wanna to play with me, you know I'm undefeated?" Meg included the lyrics that followed, "A real Hot Girl know how to keep a n*gga heated ," in the caption of the video, which shows a booty-shaking Meg surrounded by her booty-shaking friends. She also wrote, "me and my friends be jamming all my music before it drop ," getting us all hyped to hear the full version of what so far sounds like a fire song. 20. Moneybagg Yo recently dropped off his new studio album Time Served, and while fans have been pleased with many of the tracks, Future collaboration "Federal Fedd" has emerged as an early favorite. It didn't hurt that Future may or may not have sent subliminal shots at Scottie Pippen, solidifying himself as hip-hop's most unyielding rascal. Despite the added benefit of "tea" to sift through, the fourth chapter of Moneybagg's ongoing "Federal" series stands comfortably on its own two, driven by a hard-hitting beat by DMacTooBangin. Flow-wise, Moneybagg seems content to operate within Future's wheelhouse, navigating the synthesizers with authority. "She eat it up and clean it when she done, Tussionex Pikachu, Pokémon," raps Moneybagg, coming through with some hard-hitting geek bars. "I'm on yellow yellow by the ton." Future picks up with the same energy, sounding absolutely focused as he snaps in his own unique fashion. "I did it by mistake, it wasn't on purpose, end up fucking your wife," he taunts. "She was choosin' up and it was on sight, had her ridin' on me like a motorbike." Quotable Lyrics I had to PJ the flight, I had bales on the flight, I'ma touch down tonight I'm with them body snatchers, yeah, them kidnappin' n***s who put you on ice I did it by mistake, it wasn't on purpose, end up fucking your wife She was choosin' up and it was on sight Had her ridin' on me like a motorbike View the full article

On his latest single, "BURNT OUT," the 28-year-old rapper spazzed over a distorted guitar-driven instrumental accompanied by a hard-hitting bassline and captivating synth melodies. On the track, Germ metaphorically sets fire to the liars in his life all the while admitting that he too falls victim to being dishonest with his chosen female companions. Now, Yeezy Mafia has come through with even more information as they revealed two new colorways that are slated from the Spring of 2020. These two colorways are being dubbed "Flax" and "Linen." In the image below, the "Flax" model is on the left while the latter is on the right. Both shoes have the same yellow upper although they each feature different midsole, linings, and outsoles. For instance, the "Flax" offering has a pastel midsole while the lining and outsole are the same color as the upper. Meanwhile, the "Linen" version has a blue lining while a gum bottom lays underneath the yellow midsole. These differences may not seem like much but if you're familiar with the Yeezy brand's recent output, then you would understand the approach. The 350 V2 has seen various similar-looking colorways over the last year and these two offerings are an extension of that design philosophy. Stay tuned for updates on these colorways as we will be sure to bring them to you. Let us know in the comments below what you think of these. Image via Yeezy Mafia View the full article
  23. The Golden Globes on Sunday made for a star-studded event full of entertaining and scandalous moments, but the most shocking appearance of all would have to be music's biggest power couple. That's right, Jay-Z and Beyoncé decided to grace Hollywood's finest with their presence, overwhelming plenty of the stars in attendance. Though their attendance was not completely out of the blue, since Bey was nominated for Best Original Song for "Spirit" from The Lion King, though she eventually lost to "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" from Rocketman. The duo didn't walk the red carpet, though, so they caught everyone off guard when they arrived fashionably late. They waited to take their seats until after Kate McKinnon had finished her speech introducing Carol Burnett Award for Achievement in Television recipient, Ellen Degeneres, who was at Jayoncé's table. It was then that they were caught red-handed bringing their own Ace of Spades champagne into the Moet-sponsored event, as their bodyguard, Julius, was spotted holding two bottles of the bubbly brand. Bey and Jay not only brought their own booze, they also shared it with the surrounding guests, as well. Jennifer Anniston revealed on her Instagram story from the Globes that after her table had run out of water, her The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon asked Jay and Bey for some of their champagne. Jay and Bey were happy to, and Reese even joked about the whole ordeal with some memes on her Instagram. After word spread about the Bey and Jay's charitable move, the superstar couple naturally had to one-up themselves, so they sent over an entire case of Ace of Spades to Reese. The actress posted a video of herself opening up the generous gift, accompanied by some gorgeous flowers and a note that read, "More water, from Jay and Bey." Reese and her mom, Betty, proceeded to pop open one of the prestigious bottles at 11:30am. "Who cares?" Reese replied when Betty asked if it's too early to drink. "It's from Jay-Z and Beyoncé." Solid logic. View the full article
  24. On the same day Moneybagg Yo dropped off a new project called Time Served, the Memphis rapper sat down with Ebro Darden for Beats1. While a few different topics are raised, one of the most interesting tidbits stems from Ebro inquiring about Moneybagg's former relationship with Megan Thee Stallion. "Was it being in public that made it hard, or did you fuck it up?" asks Ebro. Moneybagg chuckles. "Two strong personalities just bumping heads a lot," admits the rapper. "It didn't work but I always wish her the best. I'm really proud of her. The Megan I know and the Megan ya'll know are two different things. It's still love, we just didn't see eye to eye." He explains that time also played a role in complicating matters, though he ultimately found a solution for that. "That's why I ended up getting a dog for her, cause I feel it'll still be a part of me," says Moneybagg. "Ya'll cute!" replies a beaming Ebro. He also opens up about his brand new album Time Served, which features Lil Baby, DaBaby, Future (who may or may not have sent subs at Scottie Pippen), and more. Specifically speaking on "Federal Fed," Moneybagg explains it's part of an ongoing series he's been working on. "I did Federal by myself," he says. "Then I did the reloaded version when I ended up getting a little money. I put it back out for the people that didn't hear it, then I ended up getting with Gotti for '2 Federal.' And then I did 'Federal 3X.'" He also explains that he and Future are fans of each other's music, teasing some unreleased material in the cut. Have you checked out Time Served yet? 25. It's been a little over a month since the City Girls were reunited following member JT's 16-month stint in prison for credit card fraud, and they're coming back hard for 2020 by covering the latest issue of Billboard Magazine. Detailing the many trials and tribulations they had to overcome on their way to becoming one of the biggest acts in Hip-Hop and music overall, each member gave an earful of interesting tidbits in this lengthy artist profile on the two young rap stars. Take a look below at some of the highlights: On Yung(er) Miami's Days Partying At Trick Daddy's House: Miami was a grade younger, but already popular on Myspace. Growing up in Opa-Locka — one of the most violent areas of Miami-Dade County — her mom’s drug-dealer boyfriend afforded their family a flashy lifestyle. Her mom had grown up with local rap icons Trick Daddy and Trina, the latter of whom is Miami’s godmother; going over to Trick Daddy’s for a pool party was just a regular Saturday. But what most impressed JT was that Miami’s uncle was dating Jacki-O, a local rapper whose best-known song, 2003’s “Nookie,” was a pussy-power anthem with lines like, “Police pull me over, they don’t write no ticket/All between my legs, trying to lick it.” On JT's Hard Upbringing Right Before She Met Caresha: She grew up in Liberty City, the neighborhood in which 2016’s Moonlight is set, with a drug-dealer dad who had 16 kids. Her mom was never in the picture. “I was rebellious because I didn’t have my mama around — nobody could tell me what to do,” she says. “When I started hanging out with Caresha, I was pillar to post. I started running away. I didn’t like it at my daddy’s house; I didn’t like it nowhere no more.” On Their Reckless "Boosting Days" As Teens: JT started sleeping at Miami’s grandma’s house every night after the girls hit the clubs, “sneaking out, fighting, drinking, being grown — doing stuff we had no business doing,” says Miami. JT had a little hustle selling hygiene products she would steal from drugstores, until business went south after an ill-conceived scuffle with a CVS loss-prevention staffer. “The people inside told me I was going to jail,” recalls JT. “They trying to pull my keys out the car, but you know Altima Coupes got a push start. So I tricked them. I’m like, ‘OK, OK, I’m sorry. Just let me pull in and park my car.’ Rolled my window up, skrrrrrt, pulled off.” She wasn’t caught, but her sister, who was with her, briefly went to jail. On Their Big Break Joining Quality Control: It was a friend of P’s in Miami, a waitress at a local club, who pulled out her phone and asked him, “Have you heard these girls?” around the same time “Fuck Dat N—a” was blowing up.
