  1. Kevin Durant and Kendrick Perkins had the whole NBA world talking last night as they got into a spat on Twitter. It all started when Perkins said Russell Westbrook was the greatest player in the history of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Of course, this upset Durant who went after Perkins on Twitter. The ensuing back and forth was heavily publicized and both men came away from it having gained next to nothing. Today, Perkins was on Radio.com’s Scal and Pals, where he clarified his comments and explained how he felt about the whole situation. As he explains, he never meant to throw shade at KD and that his original comments were supposed to uplift Russ. “Clearly, I’m not saying that Russell Westbrook is a better player than Kevin Durant. I’m saying that when you talk about the Oklahoma City Thunder: Russell Westbrook is Mr. Thunder,” Perkins said. “I don’t have a filter. So what I do, is I strike back. Boy, stop playing with me. You did the weakest move in NBA history, up 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals and then you go join them the following season.” Perkins was also on The Jump today where he said he wished KD had called him on the phone instead of clapping back on Twitter. For now, it appears as though these two men still have a lot to talk about. View the full article
  2. Chris Brown and his ex Ammika Harris welcomed a baby boy into the world before the new year, leading many to easily assume that maybe they've gotten back together in secrecy. Such theories were fueled by more reports when a photo of Chris Brown cuddling his newborn saw him wearing a ring on his wedding finger. While nothing has been confirmed by either party, Ammika has come through with yet another post that has us believing she's a married woman - or at least engaged. Taking to her Instagram story, Ammika uploaded an image of her left hand with a ring on her ring finger that looks very similar to the one Chris was wearing. Her next post was a quote on marriage and how to make it last. "Marriage doesn't guarantee you will be together forever. It takes love, respect, trust, understanding, friendship, and faith in your relationship to make it last," the passage reads. “Chris is the proudest dad you’ve ever seen, he loves to talk about his kids," a source previously said of Chris after welcoming his second child. "He still gets so emotional talking about his son being born. He was there in the delivery room which was a first for him and he was blown away by that.” View the full article
  3. Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony and his Melo7 Tech Partners recently teamed up with online car dealership Gettacar to surprise a single mother in the Baltimore area with a new set of wheels. According to the report, Shalita Addison's 1997 Honda Accord has caused her plenty of stress over the years, making it difficult to get to work, doctor's appointments and her daughter's basketball games at Mount St. Mary's. Addison won't have those issues anymore, though, after she was presented with a 2017 Mazda CX, courtesy of Melo. Check out the full story in the video embdded below. On the court, Melo has provided the Blazers with a much-needed boost as he is currently averaging 16 points and 6 rebounds in a little more than 31 minutes of action per night. Portland's season as a whole has not gone as planned, they're currently sitting at 16-23 as we near the halfway point of the season. That said, the Blazers are just 1.5 games back of the eighth seed with plenty of games remaining. Up next for the Blazers is a home game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the NBA-leading Milwaukee Bucks. View the full article
  4. Jane Fonda has been holding her weekly climate change protests called "Fire Drill Fridays" for several months now, and this Friday, she was joined by a recent Golden-Globe winner. Joaquin Phoenix marched with Jane in D.C. along with fellow protesters, including actor and long-time political protester, Martin Sheen, and actress Maggie Gyllenhaal. These environmental protests are held every week in an effort to fight climate change by demanding fast action on a Green New Deal. During this week's protest, attendees are specifically calling for an end to all new fossil fuel exploration/extraction and demanding a halt on granting taxpayer subsidies to oil companies. Joaquin, Jane, Martin, and tons of other protesters were detained after cops warned them that arrests are imminent if they don't cooperate and disperse. In the clip, protestors can be seen holding up signs and chanting, "If we don't get it, shut it down!" followed by "What do we want? Climate justice. When do we want it? Now!" The video then cuts to Joaquin getting detained as supporters cheer him on from afar. Before his detainment, Joaquin took the podium to warn others about the effects that the meat and dairy industries have on the environment. "Something that I think isn't often times talked about in the environmental movement or in the conversation about climate change is that the meat and dairy industry is the third leading cause of climate change" he declared. This statement was met with applause from the crowd, after which he continued, "I think sometimes, we wonder, 'what can we do in this fight against climate change?' There's something that you can do today, right now, and tomorrow, by making a choice about what you consume." Martin Sheen, who has been arrested over 70 times for his own protesting efforts, followed Joaquin, giving a powerful speech complete with poetic metaphors. On Sunday, Joaquin won the Golden Globe for "Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama," for the titular role in the film, Joker. In his speech, he mirrored similar sentiments about environmental change, by giving a shoutout to the Hollywood Foreign Press "for recognizing and acknowledging the link between animal agriculture and change" by making the meals at the ceremony plant-based. He also addressed the wildfires in Australia and called on his peers to take action. "It's really nice that so many people have come up and sent their well wishes to Australia but we have to do more than that," he said in his speech. "Hopefully we can be unified and make some changes. It's great to vote, but sometimes we have to take that responsibility on ourselves and make changes and sacrifices in our own lives." 8. Vince Carter is turning 43 years old in just a couple of weeks and shockingly, he's still playing basketball at a high level. While he isn't scoring at the same clip he did back in the early 2000s, he is still good enough to crack an NBA roster. Amazingly, Carter is the first player in NBA to play in four different decades which is something to proud of. It's hard to keep your body healthy for that long but somehow he has been able to do it. When Carter first came into the league, he was known for his incredible dunking ability. In year 22, Carter can still dunk like no one's business and fans are clamoring for one final dunk contest appearance. Recently, Carter had fans even more excited for a potential dunk contest appearance as Trae Young posted an alley-oop video to Twitter. As you can see, Carter pulls off the spin-around dunk to perfection and had the whole gym in awe. Fans immediately began reacting to the video with words of encouragement for the 42-year-old. It remains to be seen whether or not Carter will actually participate in the contest although one can only dream. If he does attend the event, fans will certainly give him the respect he deserves. It would be the perfect farewell to a storied career. View the full article
  9. Eminem has been relatively quiet since dropping off Kamikaze in 2018, emerging from the shadows to lay down verses for Boogie, Conway, Logic, and Fat Joe. Even amidst increasing vitriol from Nick Cannon and Lord Jamar, Slim has opted to keep quiet and focus on the task at hand. As such, speculation of a new album began to circulate, despite any lack of concrete details. Thankfully, HipHopNMore sat down for a dope conversation with producer Symbolyc 1, aka S1, who confirmed that Em was putting in some serious work. Christopher Polk/Getty Images Coming off contributions to Em's "Nice Guy" and "Normal," HHNM openly whether Em was crafting his tenth studio album, prompting an intriguing response from S1. "I’ve been working with Eminem quite a bit," he reveals. "They’re always real quiet and real secretive but I just know he’s been cutting a lot of records so we’ll see what happens with that." Aside from working with Em, S1 also reveals he's been contributing to J. Cole's upcoming album, which has been all but confirmed for a 2020 release. Clearly, the storied producer is looking at another big year. As are the fans. Be sure to check out the whole interview over at HHNM, and sound off below -- are you excited for a new project from Slim Shady? View the full article
  10. Jordyn Woods has begun the new decade the same way she finished the last - serving hot looks on Instagram, showing off her gorgeous frame. The 22-year-old model, if you will, is no rookie when it comes to posting thirst traps since such moves are what landed her numerous music video placements with Rick Ross and Gunna respectively. Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images The latest addition to her Instagram feeds sees Jordyn posing in a one-piece, tiger-striped bikini serving bawdy and looks at the same time. "On the way ," she captioned the post. In other Jordyn news, before she took a lie detector test to confirm she did not sleep with Tristan Thompson, the basketball player's ex Khloe Kardashian detailed how she forgave Jordyn for kissing him in the first place. "I am allowed to forgive. Forgiveness is a strength and not a weakness. I am allowed to forgive people but still not accept their behaviors. I'm also allowed to protect my space. I am allowed to choose who I want in my life and who I do not. I'm also allowed to wish people well and sincerely mean it. Doesn't mean I have to be their best friend," Khloe wrote. 11. Miami Heat shooting guard Jimmy Butler and Indiana Pacers forward TJ Warren have both been fined by the NBA for their little on-court scuffle on Wednesday night - but the fines are not equal. According to The New York Times' Marc Stein, Warren was fined $25,000 and Butler $35,000. The reason for the $10,000 difference? Butler "escalated the incident on social media." Butler and Warren exchanged some words and literally went head-to-head during the third quarter of Miami's 122-108 victory earlier this week, which resulted in technical fouls for both and an early shower for Warren. The league's official statement on the incident reads: "With 6:29 remaining in the third quarter, Butler and Warren each received technical fouls for having come face-to-face in a hostile manner. With 6:22 remaining in the third quarter, Butler committed an offensive foul against Warren, which has been upgraded to a Flagrant Foul 1 upon league office review. The foul call on Butler prompted a taunt from Warren, which resulted in his second technical and subsequent ejection. Following his objection, Warren made an obscene gesture. After the game, Butler continued to escalate the incident via social media." That last line references Butler's IG post in which he shared a photo of the date of Miami's next game against Indiana (at Indiana on March 20) along with the caption, "@t.warren1 don’t be mad you can’t guard me. we will see what you about in March." Butler also had the following to say about Warren after the game, "He's soft. He's not even in my fucking league. Nowhere near me. If I was their coach, I would never put him on me. Ever again... He's trash." The All-Star guard inked a four-year, $142 million contract prior to the start of the season, so we don't think this $35K fine will stop him from trolling Warren, or any other opponent, moving forward. 12. Wiley vs. Stormzy is the beef that has been heating up the Internet this past week. Wiley, an OG/pioneer in the grime scene, and Stormzy, one of the most commercially successful UK hip hop acts right now, have had a back-and-forth, taking shots at each others' moms and families while asserting themselves as the champ. Wiley already dropped two installments of "Eediyat Skengman," returning with a third earlier today to close out the trilogy. "Eediyat Skengman 3" marks Wiley's official response to Stormzy's "Still Disappointed," but it appears if he's keeping it a bit more tasteful this time around, atleast more than he did before. While he did take aim at Stormzy's family, even referring to Stormzy as his son, Wiley takes juvenile jabs by calling the "Disappointed" rapper Chewbacca and BFG. Check out "Eediyat Skengman 3" below. 13. Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Durant got into a pretty heated argument on Twitter last night as Russell Westbrook made his return to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Perkins was upset at how KD left the Thunder and even stated that Westbrook was the best player in the history of the franchise. KD felt some type of way about his and immediately gave Perkins a piece of his mind. Perkins went on to say that Durant was a coward for going to the Golden State Warriors. Gilbert Arenas didn't take too kindly to Perkins' take and took it upon himself to hop on Instagram this morning. Arenas wrote a lengthy post about how Durant's move to Golden State was warranted. It's clear that Arenas is taking KD's side here, although he made sure to say he usually agrees with Perkins on 99 percent of his takes. Per Arenas: “Only two teams that can give him those two boxes [a title and Finals MVP] were Golden State and Cavs, who were the champs. Being the champs, Cavs weren’t making a move. Actually like me say this better. Cavs being cheap asses wasn’t gonna sign KD (Dan Gilbert bought that team in 2005) the biggest outside free agent they have signed was Larry Hughes in 2005. That was 15 years ago. Contracts have doubled since then and that’s still the biggest outside free agent signing. So the only team that’s left was Golden State." This is a debate that won't be dying down anytime soon although it's interesting to see Arenas come through with an opinion we haven't heard voiced before. If KD can win a title with Brooklyn, this whole conversation will finally be put to bed. View the full article
  14. Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are back, y'all! Columbia Pictures' highly-anticipated trilogy in the hit Bad Boys series premieres next week, and to get fans excited TIDAL decided to host an intimate conversation in Harlem at the iconic Apollo Theater with the two stars of Bad Boys For Life, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. As it ended up being the first stop on the press tour here in America, you already know they had a lot to share with the fans who've made this dynamic trilogy such an iconic series ever since it debut almost a quarter century ago. HNHH was in the building to get an earful of all the gems they were willing to reveal about Bad Boys 3, and we got all that and tons more. Johnny Nunez/WireImage/Getty Images Keep scrolling to check out 10 prominent highlights from Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's talk with TIDAL, hosted by seasoned music journalist Elliott Wilson, which includes behind the scenes tales, little known facts about the first two films, how DJ Khaled plays into all of this and if in fact there will be a Bad Boys 4 Fans Are Excited To See Bad Boys For Life — Like, A Lot! The entire Apollo Theater was packed — there was literally standing room only. It proved that even after 17 years since the last sequel premiered back in 2003, there's still a very high demand for people to see Will and Martin back in action together on the big screen. A Good Portion Of Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2 Was Improv Two key examples that were brought up were scenes from Bad Boys 2: the "date interrogation" and the one where Martin's character, Marcus Burnett, is tripping off ecstasy. Both actors joked about the guy who plays Reggie in that scene being so genuinely scared that he never acted in another role again. We checked the IMDb page for the actor, Dennis Greene, and they were right — absolutely nothing! Kevin Winter/Getty Images SPOILER ALERT: The Movie Begins With A "Shock" And A "Break-Up" While no big spoilers were given away during the sit-down, Will and Martin did allude to a "big shocker" at the beginning that might make you tear up, as well as a “breakup” scene between the two partners that will test their friendship. Sounds like big drama! Prince Had A Club In Miami That Martin & Will Partied At During The First Bad Boys Film Both guys say it lived up to its name, with Martin even saying that he’d "have to kill you" if he shared memories from partying at the Miami hotspot. SPOILER ALERT: The Opening Scene In Bad Boys For Life Reveals That Marcus Becomes A Grandfather In one of the few scenes they actually showed to the crown on big screens set up throughout the Apollo Theater, we see the guys embracing on a high speed chase only to end up at a hospital to witness the birth of Marcus Burnett's (played by Martin Lawrence) grandchild. It's pretty charming to say the least. DJ Khaled Has A Role In The Film As "Manny The Butcher" Will said that Khaled was so excited to be a part of the film that he showed up "4 weeks before his scene" just to hang out on the set. Bad Boys Was Originally Given To Martin Lawrence First, Who Was Then Tasked With Finding His Own Co-Star Martin says his sister was the one who suggested Will. They eventually had dinner to see if the chemistry was there, and within five minutes Martin says knew he had met his match. Will confirmed this and said the chemistry had to be on point like the first two films in order to even make the third one. He concluded that "friendship” is the key to Bad Boys 3, even quoting the series' classic slogan, "We ride together, we die together — Bad Boys for life!" Dealing with Michael Bay on the first two Bad Boys films was tough for both Martin & Will The tension was real on set. Both guys confirmed that Bay just simply didn’t have “people skills” and they each had to learn how to work with him. Will tells a hilarious story about almost attacking Michael Bay on the set of Bad Boys 2, with Martin having to literally hold him back by the waist. Hip-Hop Was A Huge Influence For The Bad Boys Series And The Personal Careers For Both Lead Actors With Will Smith being a rapper first, and Martin embracing Hip-Hop dating back to the House Party films, both men credit rap culture to being one of the key components to even bring them to a film series like Bad Boys. Martin brought up The Notorious B.I.G. as an example, saying that during that now-classic episode of Martin where Biggie makes a guest appearance that they spoke extensively about his relationship with Faith Evans. Will went a step further and added that he actually met Biggie for the first time on the night he died. Bad Boys 4 Is 100% Possible Without giving any official confirmation, Will Smith said that if people liked Bad Boys 3 that he would definitely be up for Bad Boys 4. Fingers crossed! Be sure to catch Martin Lawrence and Will Smith return for Bad Boys For Life when it hits theaters next Friday (January 17). View the full article
  15. Super Bowl LIV 2020 is now less than one month away and will be taking place in Miami, Florida with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira as the headlining acts for the half time show. “I think it’s important in this day and age for two Latin women to be standing on that stage — when Latinos are being treated a certain way in this country, or looked at a certain way — to show that we have a really specific and beautiful culture and worth and value, and we bring something to this country that’s necessary," Jennifer said of the show. Jemal Countess/Getty Images While Jennifer took a break from rehearsing her steps, she made her way to another set to film a commercial for the Super Bowl alongside her fiance Alex Rodriguez, DJ Khaled and NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. While it's unclear what the focus of the commercial will be, TMZ details how one scene sees JLo running away from a car and in the clip below, you can see Khaled getting in a fight with someone. “I think that’s going to be an amazing moment. That night, I want it to be a celebration of who we are. All of us, because we’re in this together," JLo added of the halftime show. View the full article
  16. We've seen a few producers begin to step away from working behind the scenes and into the limelight. Sonny Digital and Young Chop are two artists that come to mind but now, we're getting one half of Nez & Rio coming to the forefront. With the assistance of ScHoolboy Q, an artist Nez has produced for on various occasions over the years, he comes through with his latest track, "Wild Youngster." Bringing some deep house influence into the fold, Q only brings a few bars to the table while Nez' filtered vocals ring over the bass-heavy beat. "I want to make people feel again. I want to make people dance. I'm creating my universe through sound," Nez told The Fader. "The feeling I got visiting Paris during fashion week and going to the afterparties. In my head, I was thinking 'what would Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss be partying to in the 90s with Gianni Versace.' House music started in Chicago, it has always had a major impact on me because that's the music that we grew up listening and partying to." Vybz' latest project consists of 10-tracks in total with appearances from Sikka Rhymes, Jesses Royal, Jodi Couture, U.T.G, and Slimatic. 18. While promoting Bad Boys For Life on The Tonight Show, Will Smith teamed up with Jimmy Fallon to provide a comprehensive and creative history of the significant events of Will's life. From his upbringing in "the city of brotherly love" ("that's Philly!") to "rappin’ just to make bus fare," Will remembers his earlier days before his breakthrough acting role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The crowd goes wild when Will looks into the fishbowl-lens-camera and spits the infamous line "Then I moved in with my auntie and uncle in Bel-Air" from the Fresh Prince theme song. Will and Jimmy pay further tribute to the show that launched Will's career by performing the iconic dance invented by the character, Carlton Banks. Will's early film career is then explored, with references to the first Bad Boys movie as well as the alien-hunting Independence Day. Will and Jada's marriage in 1997 of course gets mentioned, as does Jada's Red Table Talk. After shouting out Men in Black, Will and Jimmy "get jiggy wit' it" to Will's 1997 smash hit. Will then recounts entering fatherhood, as he "started out a Prince, then became the Fresh Papi." He names his three kids, Trey Jaden, Willow, and reminds us of when the latter "came and told ya 'whip your hair back and forth.'" Will and Jimmy speed through practically all of Will's movie roles, including the animated Shark Tale, the romcom Hitch, and the heartwrenching Pursuit of Happyness. After films like Suicide Squad and Hancock, Will mentions his Youtube content, and recreates the video of himself bungee-jumping out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. The history lesson concludes with a reference to Will's recent movies Aladdin and Spies in Disguise, with one shameless promo for Bad Boys For Life. What a life! View the full article
  19. Despite being known as a skilled producer in the 2000s, Hit-Boy's rise to prominence didn't come until the early 2010s when he made a statement rapping over his promo single "Jay-Z Interview" produced by Bink!. Eventually, Hit-Boy found himself as a member of the G.O.O.D Music roster and earning production credit for Watch The Throne's single "N****s in Paris." Now, with two collaborative albums under his belt, with Dom Kennedy and SOBxRBE, the Fontana, California musician has finally completed his second, solo full-length album entitled, The Chauncey Hollis Project (2020). The "Funeral Season" producer took the unconventional approach to releasing an album by dropping the project in a three-part series of smaller EPs. The first three tracks of the album were released in fall 2019, the second three tracks including "Mood Change" featuring Thurz dropped in the winter months of 2019, and now the final three songs including "All Business" featuring Benny The Butcher has arrived to complete the project. Hit-Boy's ability to maintain sonically polished production value while delivering hard-hitting bars has put him in an elite class of rapper/producers that are undoubtedly talented. 20. Justin Bieber jumped on Instagram Live yesterday and recorded himself on a bus with his wife Hailey Bieber as he invited fans to join his live session, just to ask them if they've streamed and downloaded his recent single, "Yummy." After getting a "yes" from most of his fans, he asked them to promise him they downloaded or bought the track, all in an effort to get his single to #1 on Billboard. Jayne Kamin-Oncea/Getty Images Justin's self-promo behaviour has pulled in some reactions from fans and users on Twitter who think the Canadian singer is tricking the system to get his number one placement. A banner appeared online that details instructions for fans to listen to "Yummy" on low volume while you sleep as well as buying the song on his website "multiple times." We can't confirm if Justin's team made the ad or if it was an eager fan following in Justin's footsteps. Justin's new single is competing with Roddy Ricch's “The Box” for number one and it seems as though fans of each artist are fighting for their designated song. Justin hasn't responded to these accusations of him "not playing fair" when it comes to pulling streams but it's clear he's not slowing down. We'll have to wait until Tuesday to see who gets the #1 spot. View the full article
  21. The two people who've stuck by R. Kelly in the midst of his legal issues in the past year have been his two girlfriends, Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage. As the two who've vehemently denied that he's this "monster," they appear to be breaking away from him and the team that has protected him in the past. Nuccio DiNuzzo/Getty Images As Azriel Clary revealed that she's moved out of Chicago and back home with her parents, it appears as though Joycelyn Savage has followed suit. According to TMZ, Savage met with her parents at a courthouse on Thursday. This is huge considering that she hasn't seen them in the three years that she's lived with R. Kelly, despite her parents' attempts to making a connection with her. Gerald Griggs, the lawyer for her parents, revealed that her parents secretly made their way into a holding area in Chicago's courthouse following her hearing for the assault against Azriel Clary. The meeting was set up by law enforcement with Griggs revealing that Joycelyn spoke to her parents for a half-hour. Contact information was left with Joycelyn in order to contact her parents. Savage is reportedly going to be in contact with her parents more frequently, Griggs said. This could be a sure sign that she'll return home soon and it seems like her parents are banking on it as well. View the full article
  22. Bad Boys For Life hits theaters January 16th and so far we've been treated to endless teasers, behind the scenes clips and takes from the lead stars, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. "We hadn't really done anything in [years] so there was a little concern, you know, how will it be with the chemistry?" Will previously stated when discussing their first moments on set. "But literally the first moment on stage, like, that first moment connecting, it was right back." Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images We've learned that some new faces will be joining the franchise and one is none other than Vanessa Hudgens who stars as detective Kelly. Vanessa has come through to share a photo from the movie that sees her, Will Smith and Charles Melton seemingly raiding a home. "Well this is a dope pic lol @badboys #badboysforlife," she captioned the image. "She's a new part of the ammo team, which is the new squad that gets brought on to work with Will and Martin and they're just amazing," Vanessa told ET of her character. "Martin is such a sweetheart. 23. The alleged affair between Future and Larsa Pippen, then-married to former Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen, has become one of hip-hop's worst-kept secrets. Given the trail of breadcrumbs Future has been leaving since 2016, including various subliminal bars and Instagram comments, many have come to accept the scandalous narrative as fact. Mez even referenced it on the Dreamville posse cut "Costa Rica," prompting a response from Larsa herself. Still, neither Future nor Larsa has acknowledged the affair as a reality, though some fans believe that the former is dropping hints to this very day. Neilson Barnard/Getty Images As Complex observes, the Twitter chorus was alive and buzzing after Future and Moneybagg Yo's "Federal Fed." Specifically, a few lyrics that may very well be penned in reference to the forbidden tryst. "I did it by mistake, it wasn't on purpose, end up fucking your wife," raps Future, opting for the defense once suggested by Shaggy all those years ago. "She was choosin' up and it was on sight, had her ridin' on me like a motorbike, had to clean her head like a wet wipe." Of course, it's entirely possible that Future has turned a few men to cuckolds. But there's something about homewrecking the Pippen household that seems to invigorate the fans. So much so that they flooded Twitter with memes and reactions to the potential pot-stirring bars. Whether or not Future was making reference to the Larsa rumors, rubbing salt in Scottie's likely still-healing wounds, the response has all but taken on a life of its own. Who else wears the crown of "Petty King" so snugly, if not that well-known nuisance? View the full article

While presenting recent Golden-Globe winner, Renée Zellweger, with the best actress award at the National Board of Review Awards Gala on Wednesday, Salma Hayek shared one of her favourite—and most hilarious—memories of her longtime friend. In 2003, both actresses were nominated for Best Actress at the prestigious Academy Awards—Salma for her role in Frida and Renée for her role in Chicago—meaning the night was going to be especially important for both of them.
