  14. Drake has a long list of enemies on his list. Some that he's made peace with, others who he's yet to bury the hatchet with. Sophia Body is among those who fall under the latter category. Following years of downplaying Drake's success, the rapper finally got his moment to clap back. Vaughn Ridley/Getty Images Body commented under an Instagram Post about Tory Lanez' Quarantine Radio as she reacted to one of the impeccable singers that made a brief cameo on the live stream. A fan replied to her comment, writing, "we met on the 4 train before in the Bronx you was playing with your laptop... I'm mad you never followed me back on the gram." Neither comment had anything to do with Drake but clearly, he was letting the Instagram fingers slide. Replying to the fan, Drake wrote, "don't worry she'll be there for 20+ more years same seat you'll catch her one day she ain't got shit going." Many believed this is unwarranted but it should be noted that Sophia Body hasn't necessarily had positive things to say about Drake. A Toronto native herself, she's accused Drake of ruining Toronto's Caribana Festival by hosting OVO Fest on the same weekend. The two also had a bit of a back-and-forth after she accused Drake of biting Young Thug's flow on "Mob Ties." The rapper replied to her calling her a "fucking bitter weirdo." View the full article
  15. 2 Chainz's mama ain't raised no hoe!!! After a recent court battle against an artist who claimed that 2 Chainz, Offset, and YG stole his song, the three rappers are celebrating their win after the case was dismissed. At the beginning of the year, it was reported that the trio would be going to court to battle a rapper named Slugga, real name Solomon Clanton, who claims they infringed on his copyright by releasing "Proud." "Plaintiffs discovered that since at least March 2018 Defendants have continuously and repeatedly infringed, and are presently infringing, Slugga’s copyright in the Subject Composition, in a song publicly performed by 2Chainz as part of his highly successful album The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It," state the legal documents. Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images Slugga's song was released three years prior to 2 Chainz's record. The tracks share a common theme, as well as a similar hook and lyrics. According to The Blast, the case has officially been dismissed by Slugga, who is voluntarily dropping his suit against all defendants. However, he has the chance to re-file if he chooses to in the future. The video for "Proud" shows all three of 2 Chainz, Offset, and YG's moms rapping their hit song. Re-visit it below. Unfortunately, this does not mean that all legal difficulties have vanished for the trio of rappers. As we reported earlier today, Offset's baby mama is looking to take him to court over child support. You can't win 'em all. [via] View the full article
  16. Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti has been teasing the arrival of his new album Whole Lotta Red for months and, finally, it may be arriving soon. The superstar is rumored to be rolling out the upcoming body of work, possibly beginning with a single release for "PAIN 1993" with Drake this week. While that much remains unconfirmed, Carti is much more active than usual on social media, which could be a good sign. The Die Lit rapper is hinting at something coming imminently, sharing some cover artwork this week and returning to Twitter with some very cryptic messages. Bennett Raglin/Getty Images "I Kan NOt Beef Ah bit Ya," wrote the 23-year-old in Cartinese, the language he and his fans have adopted. Your guess is as good as mine as to what the hell this means. "i Kant wait," he then added. Could he be talking about music??? Whole Lotta Red OTW?????? "4vr . Lit," said Playboi Carti to end the short-lived rant on Twitter. This is all subject to interpretation as Carti doesn't have a great history of being clear and coherent in his messages. His care-free attitude has brought forth cult classics, like the aforementioned Die Lit. With the amount of hype around Whole Lotta Red, you can expect his biggest-ever sales debut whenever he does decide to drop. View the full article
  17. Future's legal battle with Eliza Reign is far from over, especially since both of them are standing strong on their cases against each other. However, Reign appears to be facing a financial issue at the moment and is asking the judge to press Future to begin supporting her child immediately. Lars Niki/Getty Images Bossip reports Reign has filed an emergency motion in court begging for temporary support after her source of income decreased, likely due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the motion, she asked to the judge to order Future to provide temporary financial support to take care of her daughter and pointed out the alleged $20M Future raked in during the last year. That was not the only thing that Reign has asked the judge for in recent times. It was only a few days ago when it was reported that she asked pleaded with the judge to punish Future for refusing to take a DNA test to prove that he's the father. Still, the judge has yet to rule on that motion, either. With both parties due back in court next week, Eliza Reign's going after the rapper for never providing or meeting her child. Future is still suing her for defamation and claims she's only using the child for child support payments. We'll keep you posted on any further updates. [Via] View the full article

If you struck out on the last release, you've got another chance with some fresh new designs because, as reported by Yeezy Mafia, Kanye West is releasing two new pairs of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN this month. Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images Coming in the previously-announced "Bone" colorway and a flashier "Phosphor" style, the two models will only be available in select regions. Keeping supply low and demand high has been the modus operandi for Adidas for a while as far as it goes with Yeezy, and even though some releases have been more widespread, others like this one are only available in zones. On April 24, the "Phosphor" colorway will be available in New York, London, and Tokyo. The "Bone" pair will be released on April 25 in Los Angeles, Paris, and Shanghai. 19. The Coronavirus is delaying all kinds of things, not just limited to festivals and concerts. Many people have had to delay significant life events, such as weddings-- including Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. The two first got engaged in March of last year, after two days of dating. They were set to wed before the pandemic affected our every move, and thus they've had to change their wedding plans accordingly. Rich Fury/Getty Images A new report from US Weekly reveals a few details, including that the wedding was planned to take place in Italy. "It was all planned out and paid for," according to an anonymous source. "They obviously had to postpone it due to coronavirus, but J.Lo wants to marry A-Rod shortly after things go back to normal." Lopez herself spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about the her nuptials plans last week as well, saying, "Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates or anything like that." She continued, "It’s something we’re just going to have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out." Indeed. [via] View the full article
  20. As we reported today, Coronavirus cases have surpassed 2 million around the globe, with the United States home to the most cases yet, with more than 600,000. Of all the States, New York has been the hardest hit, resulting a tug-of-war with Governor Andrew Cuomo and President Donald Trump, complete with name-calling and the blame game. New York's tally is about to hit 200,000 cases, and with this, Governor Cuomo has just announced a new executive order to mandate that all NY residents wear a mask if they are out in public. This follows an about-face from the CDC's previous guidelines, when they did not necessarily advocate for the importance of wearing a mask-- they've since changed their tune. Governor Cuomo announced the new measure to combat COVID-19 on twitter this afternoon. He said, "I am issuing an Executive Order today that all people MUST wear a mask or face covering in public in situations where social distancing is not possible." We'll keep you posted on this new development. View the full article
  21. When Dreamville's EarthGang finally came through and delivered the full MirrorLand album experience, we might have known it wasn't over. After all, the Atlanta duo stand among the game's most creative artists, and it's no surprise their vision stretched far beyond the aural phenomenon. Now, they've once again come through with another dose of colorful visuals, this time for "Avenue," which picks up directly where its predecessor "LaLa Challenge" left off. Once again taking place in a heavily science fiction-inspired dystopia, Olu and Wowgr8 find themselves forced to contend with a swarm of flying monkeys, a hallucinogenic and ever-changing landscape, not to mention the strange and whimsical landmarks that cross their path at every turn. Luckily, the pair are more than up for the task, sporting a slick hovercraft as they navigate the red-bricked road, word to L. Frank Baum. While you might not fully understand what's being presented, there's a comfort in knowing that Olu and Gr8 know exactly how to chart their destination; in fact, once all this is said and done, it wouldn't be surprising to see them set up shop in this strange and mystifying new world they've discovered. 22. As of Wednesday, Coronavirus cases around the world reached 2 million. The break-out of the deadly virus first began in Wuhan, China in December, while China was slow to inform the rest of the world about the virus, and it was quickly spreading in the meantime. At the beginning of March, the rest of the world began to feel the wrath of COVID-19, as travellers exposed the virus to places other than China. COVID-19, thanks to all the advantages of a modern world (namely, flying), was able to spread from China, to Italy, to the United States, Canada, and just about any other crevice that man can reach by plane, train or car. The latest numbers on Coronavirus cases comes from John Hopkins University. Even with these numbers, there are so many reports that China hasn't exactly been honest with their numbers, so things could be askew. Nonetheless, the figures we have today state that there have been 130,000 deaths around the world due to COVID-19, while 500,000 people have recovered. As far as areas with the most cases-- United States leads the charge, with a reported total of 609,000 cases. For the first time in history, every single state in the U.S. has declared a state of emergency, while deaths reach 26,000. Inside of the States, New York now has almost 200,000 cases, New Jersey has 68,824 confirmed cases, Texas has just over 15,000 cases, while California has 25,356 cases. Behind the U.S., Spain has a reported 177,000 cases (18,000 deaths), Italy has 162,000 + (21,000 deaths), China appears to have quelled the virus briefly, with 83,000 cases (3,200 + deaths) while Iran reports a total of 76,000 (4,700 deaths). 23. Though the widespread nature of Drake's fanbase occasionally sends the rapper down more a more mainstream-friendly road, the Toronto rapper has proven time and time again that he can bar out at a high level. Yet as nice as Drizzy's pen game can be, it's a different beast altogether when hopping on a Griselda track. Prince Williams/Wireimage/Getty Images In February, we got confirmation that Drake and Benny were linking up for a collaboration, with Drake teasing that he was in the process of writing his verse. Though days went by without receiving an update on the track's status, Benny recently hit Instagram to stoke the flames of hype once more (perhaps inadvertently), posting a picture of Drizzy donning some Butcher attire alongside a self-promotional caption: "Shout out to all the Plugs I met ... more colors on the way." On the surface, a clever reminder to go check out Benny's store for some fly merch. And while it's not exactly a concrete indication that the wheels are in motion, modern social media marketing has become a study in reading between the lines. Benny is well aware of what he's doing, knowing full-on that the masses have been anticipating the Griselda-OVO crossover episode for a minute now. Given that both himself and Drake are primed to drop off new albums by years end, what better way to spark a rollout than what's sure to be a duet for the ages? Check out the picture for yourself, and sound off - do you think this is a sign that Drizzy and Benny's collaboration is on the way? And if so, would you like to see Conway and Westside Gunn slide through to round it out? And -- last question -- does the 6ix God have a chance at holding his own alongside the Griselda boys?
