  1. The romance between Common and Tiffany Haddish is still going strong. The rap-comedy couple recently shared that they've made their relationship official, and Tiffany has stated in interviews that she's in love with the Chicago rap icon. Common is a bit coyer about sharing details about his personal life, but he chatted with Kelly Clarkson about what it's been like dating a comedian. Jerritt Clark / Stringer / Getty Images "I'm definitely funny but in a corny way," he said. "It's not hard dating a comedian but it's definitely—I don't try to keep up with her jokes. Even though I throw mine in, she's on another level. It does encourage me because sometimes she'll say some jokes that are not as funny, and she's courageous enough to do it, so it just makes me feel more inspired to do stuff that doesn't work." Common added that Haddish "for sure" tries out her new material with him and he's brutally honest with her on whether it's funny or not. "I gotta be truthful with her and caring. I'm caring but I'm honest. I'm not gon' let her go out if I think something is not fresh and not say nothing. And if a joke is not really funny, I'm not gon' fake laugh." The rap legend also discussed playing in the celebrity basketball game, earning the MVP trophy, and how he was able to do a bit of bragging against fellow Chicago native Chance The Rapper who gave him guff on the court. 2. An explosive report was made by Billboard earlier today (September 29) after they claim that a source is spilling the beans on Tory Lanez and his team with scathing accusations. Over the last few months, there have been emails sent to various news sources that were shown to be from Megan Thee Stallion's label, 300 Entertainment. However, Billboard reports that the emails' true source was from Lanez's camp in an effort to turn the press against the Houston rapper. Cassidy Sparrow / Stringer / Getty Images According to the publication, the source said that falsified emails and text exchanges were created and sent out to a number of media outlets. "A screenshot of an email, sent to Billboard from a different anonymous source, included a fake email account for 300's Head of Creative, Kevin Leong, that was allegedly created by Lanez's team," Billboard reported. "The email contained a link to a report that claimed that Megan did not want to testify against Lanez." When contacted about the fake emails, a representative for Tory Lanez "strongly [denied]" the allegations that the Canadian artist or anyone from his team is responsible. Meanwhile, Billboard's source details their version of what happened that evening in July when Megan Thee Stallion was shot. "[Lanez] was supposed to be dropping [Megan] off at home with her friend, and an argument ensued," they stated. "He started calling her names. So she said she wanted to get out of the car. She got out of the car, walked away from the car, and at a short distance, he told her, 'dance b---h', pulled out a gun and shot [at] her four times. Two times hit her, one in each foot, and the other two missed her." "Tory starts texting her. He starts apologizing, saying, 'I'm your friend. I love you. Please. I was just drunk. Call me. I wanna make this work,'" the source continued. "He starts calling other people around her, including her friends after she gets out of jail, because she was also taken in [for questioning] 'cause she was there, and [Tory] was offering money, saying he wants to make it right and wants to resolve this issue. He starts calling her day-to-day managers and said he wants to talk to her, reaches out to the security guard, all of that." Megan's label, 300 Entertainment, is reportedly investigating the alleged falsified emails. "In this day and age, digital security is of utmost importance," they said in a statement. "The email impersonation of our Head of Creative Kevin Leong, with the intent to disseminate false information, has been brought to our attention and we are working diligently on Megan's behalf to get to the bottom of the matter." 3. The entertainment ties in Saweetie's family aren't anything to sneeze at as the rapper is linked to a few celebrities. Her grandfather played for the San Francisco 49ers and her cousin is Gabrielle Union, but not many people know that her mom, Trinidad Valentin, was once a video vixen. On Tuesday (September 29), Saweetie shared a new episode of her The Icy Life YouTube series where she gives fans an inside look into her intimate moments with her loved ones. The Pretty B*tch Music rapper was enjoying some pool time when her mother came out and asked, "Where's the rest of your outfit?" It was then that Saweetie decided to give the world a look at her mother's music video past. Craig Barritt / Stringer / Getty Images "She act like she ain't used to be wearing this back in her day, okay?" the rapper said. Then, Saweetie shared clips that showed her mom in Nelly's "Ride wit Me" video back in 2000 as well as a brief moment where she made an appearance in a DMX's visual for "What The Really Want" featuring SisQó. Saweetie promised to show more of her mother in future episodes, but it was interesting to see the six-degrees of separation that continues to grow from the rapper's inner circle. Check out the latest episode of Saweetie's series below and stay tuned for more about her forthcoming project. View the full article
  4. It doesn't look like Frank Ocean was impressed by this evening's presidential debate. President Donald Trump faced off against his opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, in a debate that has taken the world by storm. The exchange was littered with questionable moments and responses that are currently being discussed on social media, and Frank Ocean has added his thoughts over on his Instagram Story. Jason Merritt / Staff / Getty Images "Debates are on. It all feels fake. The problem’s that it’s not," Frank Ocean wrote. "Donald is president and might not leave the White House even if he loses the race so some say. Pls vote. Watching him dragged out will be way more entertaining than these debates." The singer then urged his fans to make their voices heard by registering to vote over on his Blonded website. "If you’re not registered swipe up to blonded.co the form just takes 2 minutes to fill out. Goodnight," Ocean concluded. He joins the thousands of other celebrities and social media stars who have used their platforms as they encourage their supporters and followers to make sure they are registered for the 2020 election in November. Ocean hasn't shared an official Instagram update to his timeline since January, so one can only imagine how important this is for him to return to his social media page. 5. The first presidential debate of 2020 has concluded and it was a sight to see. Viewers worldwide tuned in to the spectacle that was riddled with interruptions, half-truths, insults, and awkward answers. Political pundits have called it one of the worst presidential debates to date, and on social media, people are picking apart each question-and-answer moment while they discuss how President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden faired during the debate. Scott Olson / Staff / Getty Images There were many key moments, but one that has become a trending topic on multiple platforms has been Trump's answer about White supremacy. Moderator Chris Wallace said, "You have repeatedly criticized the Vice President for not specifically calling out Antifa and other left-wing extremist groups. But are you willing, tonight, to condemn White supremacists and militia groups and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha and as we've seen in Portland?" Trump said he's "willing to do that" but first commented "almost everything I see is from the left-wing, not from the right-wing. I'm willing to do anything. I want to see peace." Chris Wallace told him to just do it. Trump responded,"You want to call them... What do you want to call 'em? Give me a name? Who would you like me to condemn?" Both Wallace and Biden answered either White supremacists or "Proud Boys." "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I'll tell you what, somebody's gotta do something bout Antifa and the left, because this is not a right-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem," said Trump. The president's statement quickly circulated throughout social media as people didn't believe that he condemned White supremacists or far-right extremeists in his answer. Check out a clip of the debate and a few responses below. View the full article
  6. We're not sure what's going on between Wendy Williams and Nene Leakes's faltering friendship, but the public feud has turned ugly. Nene has accused Wendy of being on drugs, cocaine specifically, and the pair that once seemed so close are now sworn, mortal enemies. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has an ally on her side in the form of Growing Up Hip Hop's Madina Malina, and she shared a video accusing Nene of having a rendevous with French Montana. Dimitrios Kambouris / Staff / Getty Images "Why don't you start telling the truth," Madina said. "First of all, you snuck your way back into Wendy's life. You tricked me and asked to have a sit-down, asked her to come to dinner which I did... She won't even respond to you... Why don't you talk about the part where when we was in a truck, you was letting French touch all on your snatch? That's right, you were all up under French Montana. A whole married woman, Nene." "So, what I'mma tell you is this: Fall all the way back. Keep everybody name out your mouth because if you keep coming for people, guess what's gon' happen? It's gon' be more stuff aired out. More receipts shown, and I don't think you want that smoke." Watch Madina's full video below. View the full article

  14. Billionaire mogul Kanye West has been making the most of his Twitter presence. The rapper has taken to the social media platform to announce his recording contract goals and Yeezy sneak peeks, and today, he's posted his dinner flex. For months now, rumors have run rampant about the status of his marriage to wife Kim Kardashian. Tabloids and blogs have quoted "sources" who have claimed that the celebrity husband and wife are on the verge of divorce, but with each report comes a video or photo of the West crew enjoying family time together. Neilson Barnard / Staff / Getty Images Moments ago, Kanye West posted a picture that didn't necessarily address the gossip about his marriage, but many believe he was giving a nod to his wife. "Dinner for 2," Kanye caption the picture that showed what looks like a makeshift luxury outdoor restaurant. The Wests are no strangers to living extra large, so it wouldn't be surprising to learn that went all out for a date-night dinner. The simple tweet follows another post from Ye that featured a message from Lauryn Hill as she speaks about what lessons she's learned. You can check out both posts below. View the full article
  15. Is there trouble in paradise for Moneybagg Yo and Ari Fletcher? It was just days ago when the rap couple was hugged up in Las Vegas as they celebrated Moneybagg's birthday with their close friends, but on Monday (September 28), social media posts have fans speculating about the current status of their relationship. There have been subliminal messages from Ari on Twitter including her writing that she's "back on my bullsh*t." That's a line from Jhené Aiko's song "B.S."—a track about breaking up with someone and then hitting the "scene" once again. Some confirmed that Ari Fletcher was giving the songbird a nod because later, she tweeted "Jhené." However, others state that the breakup isn't between Moneybagg Yo and Ari; it's between rapper BIG30 and Ari's sister. Allegedly, Ari told Bagg not to comment on the split, but he said something that upset her. They've been tweeting and deleting messages for hours as some have told the famous couple to take their relationship woes offline. After buying Moneybagg a Maybach and sharing a sweet message about him for his birthday, their fans hope they can move forward together. Check out a few moments from their exchange below. 16. If you're looking for a modern-day rag to riches story, you don't have to look far. Tyler Perry grew up abused by relatives and was homeless while pursuing his dreams. Perry built his career from the ground up, brick by brick, and now he's a billionaire with his own self-owned empire. His philanthropy and charitable work has been praised globally, and the media mogul has set the blueprint for others who believe that they can't achieve success because of their backgrounds. Actress Keke Palmer gave a nod to Tyler Perry on Twitter and stated that she wanted to mirror his moves, but for some reason, was met with backlash. Jamie McCarthy / Staff / Getty Images "I want to be like Tyler Perry when I grow up. He’s like a modern Walt Disney," the multihyphenate entertainer stated. "I love Tyler Perry. Period. He has inspired me so hate on him if y’all want but he’s done incredible things and literally came from NOTHING. His movies triple what they were made for and he HAS HIS OWN LOT." People began to send Keke Palmer tweets about Perry building his legacy by impersonating Black women and not including Black women in the writing room for his shows about their struggles. "This social media trend of trying to literally criticize everyone to the bone is not fun nor cute. People aren’t perfect, you’re never gonna like ALL of everything. NEVER," said Keke. "You don’t have to throw out the baby with the bath water. You can like some things about someone and dislike others, it’s possible for someone to be flawed and still be beloved," she added. "And in pure Virgo fashion. I don’t care if you disagree because you don’t exist." View the full article
  17. She's back, and this time she has a message for Tiffany Haddish. Jaguar Wright has been kicking up dust with her recent actions and allegations. The longtime singer accused rapper Common of sexually assaulting her, claimed that The Roots have been aware that R. Kelly is an alleged pedophile, said that Summer Walker has been inappropriately "touched," and recently called out Mary J. Blige for her recording skills while also stating that the Queen of Hip Hop-Soul is secretly a lesbian. Jerritt Clark / Stringer / Getty Images On Instagram last week, Jaguar Wright shared a brief video where she decided to apologize to Tiffany Haddish for making public accusations against Common. “There’s one person that I have not addressed directly and mostly because, truth is, I have a lot of respect for her. I think she is a wonderful comedian. I think she’s a great philanthropist. I just got off of her page and I just scrolled through like a month or two. I was just curious to see if everything going on in hip hop and neo-soul right now is affecting her in any way because I know that she’s in a relationship with, unfortunately, someone who became a target of my investigations." "I just want to say to Tiffany Haddish, I got all of the respect in the world for you," Jaguar continued. She also stated that comedienne Luenell is a mutual friend that has always spoken highly of Haddish. Over in the caption to the clip, Jaguar added, "My most humble and sincerest apologies go out to the incomparable @tiffanyhaddish .. I began to look through your page and I just wanted to say I'm sorry if anything that I've done caused you distress ... and you look fabulous in that suit ... rockin it .. keep on being amazing be well God-bless you." 18. Eric Bellinger might be a singer but the way he releases music is far more like his rap counterparts. Though a pandemic struck the world, he's already released three projects so far and he's continued to provide a steady stream of music to follow. That's the thing about Eric, though. He pretty much has music for pretty much any occasion. As we approach the cuffing season, the rapper released his latest single, "One Thing Missing" which, if used correctly, might help you win back your ex. Soothing production backs the singer as he reflects on lost love and emptiness. Bellinger's single is the latest in his Term 3 weekly series that he launched to encourage people to vote. Currently on week four, the rapper's latest single follows the release o last week's "FLOTUS." 19. After avoiding rumors about her love life, Jordyn Woods and Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns have made it Instagram official. The pair recently celebrated Jordyn's 23rd birthday together and even posed for photos in matching swimsuits. Gossip about the men in Jordyn's life has made headlines in the last year and a half, including Khloé Kardashian's ex, Tristan Thompson. That scandal kicked off in February 2019 and throughout the year, Jordyn was labeled as a homewrecker who cheated with her then-best friend Kylie Jenner's sister's boyfriend. Jordyn has repeatedly denied those allegations, most famously during her visit to Red Table Talk, and she once again revisits that infamous time in her history. Pascal Le Segretain / Staff / Getty Images "I remember just sitting in a very dark place. I had my family to talk to, I had you to talk to, but I just felt like I had no one," Woods told host Natalie Manuel Lee from the YouTube series Now with Natalie. "You take everything you think you know for a whole decade, the people you think you know, the life you think you know, everything that you've grown up doing and you take it all away from someone. I didn't even know how to feel." Woods added that "everything in my life changed" after that moment and she even stopped responding to her friends. Because she didn't feel that she could trust anyone, everyone felt the wrath. "Looking at the situation, 'Okay what did I do, what role did I play in this, how was I responsible, how can I be held accountable, how can I take responsibility for what happened?' Things happen and that's what makes us human," she said. "But just acceptance and accountability and responsibility. I feel like people in this generation lack accountability and when you can't accept what you've done or you can't accept that, then you can't heal from." While she is happy with the woman she is presently, she's regretful that people she loved—the Kardashian-Jenners—were hurt in the process. View the full article

The production duo have garnered international acclaim and platinum records but at the end of the day, they always bring it back to the streets. They damn-near pull a DJ Khaled with every single, enlisting some of the biggest names to collide on the same track. This year, they only blessed us with "Self-Obsessed" with the star-studded roster including Deno, Krept & Konan, and D-Block Europe. Now, they've followed it up with another massive hit with "808." With additional vocals from DigDat, B Young, and Dutchavelli, "808" is another hit record for Da BeatFreakz. Dutchavelli slides through with a mean verse on the second, continuing his hot streak this year. Check the record out below. 21. The pandemic has caused many industries to delay and in some cases, cancel their events altogether. Amazon, despite the behemoth it has become across the world, notwithstanding. The online retailer has experienced delays in shipping on top of products being unavailable. Not only that, but earlier this year, Amazon announced the delay of Prime Day 2020, in order to provide them with enough time to actually be able to handle the order placements. Amazon finally announced today that Prime Day 2020 will be October 13th and 14th. Amazon’s announcement comes months after the sales event is typically held, in July. The sale is held exclusively for Prime members and the deals go live starting at midnight, lasting for two days on the site. If you’re not yet a Prime member, you’ll need to sign up beforehand. Starting at $12.99 for a monthly membership or $119 for Prime annual, the company also offers a free 30 day trial. Along with being able to participate in the sales event and free shipping on select items, members have access to a wide catalog of Prime music and video. Beginning in 2015, Amazon’s Prime Day has provided Prime members with savings on thousands of items. Although specific items have not been announced, some of the brands involved have been. The site even includes some tips to get the most out of Prime Day. 22. The Los Angeles Lakers have secured the Western Conference Finals and will soon battle against the Miami Heat for the NBA championship. The celebratory times have caused LeBron James to reflect on his friendship with late basketball icon Kobe Bryant who tragically died in a helicopter crash back in January. The news of Kobe's death sent shockwaves throughout the globe, but those closest to him in the basketball world are still grieving his loss. LeBron recently shared a regret that plagues him about missing out on a final meeting with his friend. Jason Miller / Stringer / Getty Images When it was shared back in 2018 that LeBron James was heading to the Lakers, Kobe wanted to get together with him to give James insight on the franchise, the city, and the ins and outs of the team. The two mega-sports stars had chaotic schedules that kept them both on the go so they kept rescheduling, and it's something that LeBron still thinks about. “Of course, you think there’s going to be time for us to get together and I understand that there are regrets in life, but I definitely wish I had that moment with him,” James told Yahoo Sports. “I do remember when I decided to come here, he sent me a text right away and said, ‘Welcome, brother. Welcome to the family.’ That was a special moment because at the time, Laker faithful wasn’t [fully in on me]. A lot of people were saying, ‘Well, we might not want LeBron at this point in his career,’ and, ‘Is he right? Is he going to get us back [to the Finals]?’ So to hear from him and get his stamp of approval, it meant a lot. I don’t ever question myself, but when it’s coming from Kobe, it definitely meant a lot.” “We have to remember not to take life and people for granted," James added. [via] View the full article
  23. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of 21 Savage and Metro Boomin's Savage Mode II. The pair have been teasing the project throughout the year. It seems like they've spent a large amount of their time in the pandemic wrapping things up. However, it's pretty much been under wraps. Neither of them has dropped any clues or hints as to when we could expect it and for a good reason. The two artists released the dramatic trailer for their long-awaited collaborative sequel to 2016's Savage Mode. The two released the trailer for the project including narration done by Morgan Freeman. Directed by Gibson Hazard, the dark trailer takes fans into the world of 21 and Metro with glimpses of the pair locked into the studio. "Savage is defined as fierce. Beastly and untamed. Mode is defined as a way of operating or using the system," Morgan Freeman says in the trailer. "So to be in Savage Mode is to go hard without anything to stop or deter you from your mission. Basically, this means when someone is in Savage Mode, they are not to be fucked with."
