  3. Great form, terrible timing. A cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs found herself in the wrong sport when she was accidentally knocked down by a camera operator on Sunday. SEE ALSO: Dude crashes his parachute in a packed stadium of football fans Before the collision, the cheerleader did a somersault, sending her forward a few feet, and separating herself from the group. The cameraman, who was running across the field at the time, didn't notice, and took her out. The crowd collectively reacted with a loud "ohhhhhh." According to local outlet Fox4, the cheerleader is doing OK, and was not seriously injured in the takedown. Read more... More about Sports, Funny, Culture, Culture, and Sports View the full article
  4. In a major upset for Apple’s smartwatch brand, it appears that it was a Fitbit, not an Apple Watch, that the Red Sox used as a medium for their sign-stealing in a recent ball game. The news comes from “a major league source” speaking to Boston Globe sports reporter Nick Cafardo. It’s unclear at this time whether the source himself or herself is major league or if they… Read More View the full article

  7. Technically, Todd Beaty and the rest of the team at Cruz Bay Landing should have left St. John more than a week ago. Nonessential occupants were asked to get off the island ahead of Hurricane Irma, a Category 5 storm that obliterated much of St. John, the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands. That storm raged over the island earlier this month, but Beaty and his restaurant staff remain open, and they plan to stay open even as Hurricane Maria swirls toward the island. SEE ALSO: Hurricane Maria rapidly intensifies, aims for a rare direct hit on Puerto Rico Maria is a Category 5 storm that, if the island's luck sours even more, might steamroll whatever is still upright on Saint John this week. The storm is projected to track south of St. Thomas and St. John, which might spare the island from Category 4 or 5 intensity winds. Maria is more likely to make landfall on the island of St. Croix, but it'll probably still harass St. Thomas and St. John with powerful winds and buckets of rain. Read more... 9. Put down the in-flight magazine, Icelandair has invented a new way to stave off traveling boredom: live theater starring your some of flight's crew (and a few professional actors). Earlier this month the curtain raised on a show that took place on a transatlantic trip. The three-act play, Ahead of Time, was performed by some of the crew who studied with the British immersive theater group, Gideon Reeling, in their time off. The pilot flying the plane didn't step out to traipse down the aisles in costume, but the cabin staff and other airline employees were all in on it. 10. Equifax was hacked this past summer. You already know this. However, according to a new report, the company's computer systems were also allegedly broken into in March. And here's the kicker: The same crew might be responsible for both incidents. That's right, the same culprits behind the theft of personal information on potentially 143 million Americans might have been poking around in Equifax's databases months earlier. SEE ALSO: Alleged Equifax hackers demand $2.6 million Bitcoin ransom — or else... The news comes to us via Bloomberg, which notes that "three people familiar with the situation" told the publication about the alleged March intrusion. 13. Drivers will soon be able to blast Spotify directly from Waze on their iPhones. This new iOS app integration was announced Monday. It lets users control Spotify directly from Waze, so they don't have to switch between apps. SEE ALSO: BMW and other carmakers team up to take on Waze and Google Maps "No setup required—and no more annoying, app-switching interruptions while you drive," Waze wrote in a blog post. The update makes it impossible for drivers (or at least people who tell the app they're driving) to sort through Spotify playlists while the car is in motion. Additionally, Spotify playlists can now be set to autoplay once a Waze navigation has started, so a driver doesn't need to bother browsing music for the road. Read more... 14. Sean Spicer is trying to rehabilitate his image after resigning as President Trump's press secretary, but we shouldn't let him off that easily. He's already appeared on talk shows, showed up at the Emmys where he mocked himself and his lies told on behalf of the president, and Monday even gave an apologetic interview to the New York Times. Except he hasn't really apologized at all - and Twitter has noticed. SEE ALSO: Sean Spicer isn't a joke, he's a disgrace. Stop applauding. 15. Another celebrity is calling out the use of photo editing in magazines — this time in French publication Madame Figaro. Emily Ratajkowski, the magazine's latest cover star, says she's disappointed that her lips and breasts appear edited in the final photo. 17. Porsche is coming for Tesla's grip on the high-end electric car market with its own battery-powered sportster, and it's hitting the streets even sooner than expected. The Mission E concept was unveiled and confirmed for a full production run back in 2015, but now Porsche is ready to share some more concrete details about the fully-electric, four-door sports car, which will be the first from the luxury automaker. Porsche chairman Oliver Blume spilled the details to CAR Magazine during the Frankfurt Motor Show. He said the car is in the latter stages of development and will be ready for launch by 2019, a year ahead of the initial 2020 estimate. 20. Bill Skarsgard stars as the terrifying villain known as Pennywise the Clown in It. Recently he talked to Variety about a scene that was cut from the smash hit movie. Skarsgard says: “There was a scene we shot that was a flashback from the 1600s, before Pennywise [was Pennywise]. The scene turned out really, really disturbing. And I’m not the clown. I look more like myself. It’s very disturbing, and sort of a backstory for what It is, or where Pennywise came from. That might be something worth exploring in the second one. The idea is the ‘It’ entity was dormant for thousands and thousands of years. The [flashback] scene hints on that." The actor hinted that the scene might appear in the sequel.
