The problem is most aide for "nation building" ends up being focused on economic growth, and "trickle down" economics... very fitting of the B.C. cartoon. The alternative is to improve living conditions through programs which improve quality of life... schools, hospitals, etc. Of course, each has a downside, with trickle down being most susceptable to corruption. Yet, without the propery industry or economy to provide work for people with better job training and higher education, those which recieve those services will likely leave their home country to utilize thier skills.

Hmm... and from the story that I believe was posted on this very site... we know that the state that I live in (Washington) does not currently have laws against beastiality... However, charges can be brought if it can be proven the animal was harmed... :(

DAIC looks like my mom's car... an '83 deisel... It was really driven home tonight at the rosary... Last year my grandfather said he was tired and he was ready to go... he said stop praying for me, pray for yourselves... he joked he thought someone was praying for him to live forever... He went peacefully... quite peacefully in fact. He was at home with family. He just didn't want to let go untill he saw his youngest daughter one more time... He stuck his tongue out at her, and went to sleep. My grandfather left a great legacy of love and family, with well over 100 direct descendants... and we are celebrating his life and catching up on the years. Thanks for the wishes folks.

On the downside: A funeral for my grandfather who passed away the mornign of July 4th at the fragile young age of 96.... On the upside: Dinners with family from across the states who have come to honor my grandfather.
