What is it?

I can see it now.

Me sitting in the yard cleaning my assault rifles, scratching exactly where it itches, no shirt, no shoes, 3 junk cars, 6 dogs, 14 cats, 2 cases beer, 1 sheep (for fun), 5 sacks of garbage, 4 confederate battle flags flying, and "Dixie" playing full volume out of a cheap boom box with a busted speaker.

Has anyone asked Koop??? He probably remembers when it was built and may have even helped a little.

No, I didn't build it...but if I did I wouldn't have unfurled a flag that represents the evil and injustice that the Confererate Rebel flag does. I know you didn't mean it in an offensive manner, but as southerners you and I can never understand just how much that flag offends people who didn't grow up eating grits for breakfast and hearing the song Dixie played while Colonel Reb stormed onto the field carrying that flag at Ole Miss football games. Thankfully, Ole Miss has discontinued that tradition...maybe it's time all southerners did too.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
