Is there anybody who would like to write lyrics for a band?

Hello, my name is Ben and I am a songwriter who writes music to lyrics. With music I'm very strong but good lyrics are just not my strong point. I have a project called Memorial Beach - http://www.memorialbeachmusic.com (this link goes outside odesk.com) (this link goes outside odesk.com)/ It is a band and in the past we have done lots of gigs in the UK and also done records that industry professionals have heard because some of our members are reasonably well connected. I am also a producer so all the recordings you hear on the site were done by me.

Basically, we’re looking for someone who can help us (or me, rather) with lyrics. We have a forum at - http://forum.memorialbeachmusic.com/index.php?board=3.0 (this link goes outside odesk.com) (this link goes outside odesk.com) We make a lot of demos, which we send out to our fans every month via the newsletter so if you submit any lyrics and we like them then we will make a demo of that song and we will send it to a bunch of people and lots of people will hear your stuff. If the recorded song turns out to be really good, we will record it on our next album and of course you will get songwriting credits for that. I’m not too fussy about royalties so if they are generated from any record sales of your song you’ll get 50% so matter if it was one line of lyrics you gave us or a whole song, but there are more details about that stuff on our website. I have worked with lyricists a few years ago and it went well but have lost touch with the two I was mainly working with so this is my effort to get back to collaboration with other artists.

Another place to post is the "We Are The Music Makers' forum at Reddit.com. Good luck

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
