I`ll stand in for D.A.I.C and ask everyone...please anyone!!...what are you up to this weekend?

It`s hot and humid down here in the Antipodes and that`s an excuse for a lazy couple of days avoiding household chores....

A very good question -I haven't decided yet, but I will probably be doing some sort of celebration on Sunday. I will update and try to add something more interesting to say

Right now I'm listening to Charlie Rose interview Marc Andreessen, the founder of Netscape, etc, talk about the here and now and the future of the internet, newspapers and more

I thought it would be a kickback weekend, but ... a colleague has made some brilliant suggestions for my latest writing opus - which sadly means I have more work to do. Which is why I'm not posting and cruising the web

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
