Yo Little Brother - Nolan Thomas

Recommended Posts

I have been searching for the lyrics to Yo Little Brother, by Nolan Thomas. I found them on a google search, only problem is, they aren't the real ones. I know this by listening to the song, when he sings "I came across a house with something going on, I looked in the wondow there was brother and his crew, and he was doing everything a little brother shouldn't do" after that I don't know what he's saying and it's not close to what the search said.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks

Here's the video. The artist later changed his name to Mark Kalfa.

Here are the lyrics:

I got a brother younger than I

And my little brothers on the wild side

Hes hangin out getting high always on the scene

And always rappin to the girls

You know what I mean

And when pop came in tonight he found

Little brother was not around

He looked up checked the clock

And said

Go and get him from off the block

Chorus:

I called yo yo little brother

What ya out here trying to discover

Yo yo yo little brother

Ya gonna get it from your dad and your mother

I checked every place I thought he might of gone

Until I came across a house with something going on

I looked in the window there was brother and his crew

And he was doing everything a little brother shouldnt do

Im not gonna call his name

His name is not his type of thing

I said what you doing up after three?

He said you dont know, you better hang with me

Chorus:

I called yo yo little brother

Whats you out here trying to discover

Yo yo yo little brother

Ya gonna get it from your dad and your mother

Yo yo little brother what ya out here trying to discover

Yo yo yo little brother

Its gonna hurt you one way the other

I said if you think your cool dont be a fool

Little brother come home with me

He said theres nothing home that can turn me on

thats why Im out here in the streets

And whats up with you

You did it too

So dont tell me how to beware

I said yeah I was down but I turned around

And thats why Im still here little brother..Last Chorus

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
