Death toll mounts in Greek fires

The situation is terrible. 42 dead and the winds blow like crazy. Greece in mourning for it's people and forests. Heartbreaking.

The Prime Minister made one of the most touching speeches a politician has ever given.

Greece has never seen such a thing. I don't think any country has seen this thing considering the country size-fire size ratio during the summer of 2007.

Greece is not a huge country so we all have friends or relatives all over the country. The fires are not close to my town although I have been in those places lots of times. They used to be beautiful especially the forests.

The winds are still strong so it isn't over yet
