Trying to find name of band/song from the mid-90's, video featured a girl walking down the street carrying a pair of shoes.

Maybe we could help you better if you gave us a better description. Is the music rock? Is she singing? Any other clues in the video... Any lyrics you remember? We can find the answer with better info

Don't remember any lyrics, it was a fairly mellow song, maybe something about breaking up or a one night stand. It was definitely a male singer, for some reason Grant Lee Buffalo springs to mind but I'm not sure it was them, a similar style. The only other memory I have is that the girl had dark hair,walking slowly down the street in the early morning. That's probably not much more help, but thanks again for showing interest.

He also performs under just Grant Lee Phillips-- so it's possible a search will yield the culprit with just his name, too

3) Wasn't there a Third Eye Blind or Matchbox 20 or Hoobastank video that was all about the girl walking home with shoes? Either them or Goo Goo Dolls. Or Primative Radio Gods.

4) Christ, I can even see the video, and I can't fucking identify the artists! Damn you, marijuana-induced memory loss and the blandness of mid-90s post-grunge!

That could be the one,it'd fit in with the Grant Lee Buffalo memory. I did have a look at some Buffalo Tom videos at youtube but didn't see it, I'll try again. I looked up the lyrics which could fit in. Cheers

Haven't tracked down the video,but I'm not worried about that, I'll keep an eye out on youtube.
