John Lennon Tribute Thread

I Guess I'm Floating has posted a tribute thread in honor of John Lennon, along with some sample MP3s:

You'd be hard pressed to find a musician more popular than John Lennon. Aside from his obvious brilliance as a musician both solo and with The Beatles, Lennon was a person to which generations of people could relate to. His evolution and ever growing creativity as an artist happened right before our eyes. As much as Lennon is hailed, there is really nothing that I (or anyone) can say to encapsulate the short and significantt life of Lennon that was ended at the hands of someone loony enough to gift wrap their cat. If there is one thing that made Lennon the cultural phenomenon that he was, it was that the actions he conducted as a human were as superb as the music he was making - top echelon.

What are your favorite Lennon cuts?

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
