I watched his apology on Letterman last night...he's visibly crushed by what he said, embarrassed, angry, looked like he was going to cry. whoa :( I like Kramer...hopefully he can bounce back from this.

Didn't Jimmy the Greek do something like this that ended his career?

Didn't Jimmy the Greek do something like this that ended his career?

One of the more famous quotes of that type:

"During the slave period, the slave owner would breed his big black with his big woman so that he would have a big black kid—that's where it all started."

Just watched the full apology. It seemed pretty sincere.

Has Kramer done it before?.....

Michael Richards, who has been deluged with criticism for a racist outburst at an LA comedy club this week, has caused similar consternation before, two audience members claim.

Carol Oschin and JP Fillet told celebrity website TMZ.com that they were at The Improv comedy club on April 22 when Richards, who was on stage at the time, responded to a heckler with an anti-Semitic tirade.

Oschin told TMZ that Richards screamed at the audience member, "You f***ing Jew. You people are the cause of Jesus dying."

Richards' publicist, Howard Rubenstein, denies the claim, telling TMZ he was "playing a role and poking fun at the rednecks."

Richards is best known for his character Kramer in the long-running TV sitcom Seinfeld.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
