worried:Oct 18, 06 - 10:19 AM monkey infestation

Is anyone else having problem with the tree monkeys around Green Bank? It's getting ridiculous. Every night when we come home our trees are literally filled with these little monkeys. They have scared away all the birds and raid my feeders. Their scat is destroying my yard. I don't know why they ever brought those pests here in the first place but something has to be done. They are taking over. I'm afraid to even let my kids play outside. They're small but they're meran and there are dozens and dozens of them.

argghhh!!...the monkeys...they`re coming!!!.... :lol::lol:

My brother worked at the Green Bank Observatory when he was in college--I visited there in my early teens. Quite beautiful.

We have noticed a Crow infestation as of late here on my street. Yesterday, there were about 40 on the street... For a moment, I thought I was gonna be attacked like the people were in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
