okay, rather than start threads for all of these separately..

here are all my projects..

RETH - Grindcore band with plenty of twists, turns and actual groove/catchiness.. The songs are quite old recordings, but we're starting work on the first album after a bit glut of gigs in the next 3 months.

INCANDESCENCE - This is just me, my dark ambient/electro/weird/odd rhythmical/drone main solo project. I've done 7 albums with this project, 4 of them with lots of different styles, and 3 of them being one or two very long songs on each one, more dark sounding. A lot of people say it reminds them of various filmscores and such like, so any more feedback on these would be welcome.

EYE OF PHETKANHA - An old project I did with a mate a few years ago, moreso dark ambient than anything else, and one of the songs actually ended up on a horror/slasher movie when it was originally released.

CEREBRAL CONSTRICTION - My new baby. I've started doing a lot more noisy/harsh works, and this is the outlet for that. Generally unhappy with most of the more clumsy/random sounding noise/power electronics world that I'd heard to date, I decided to have a go myself, but using a lot more layers and build ups etc., but still there are some really harsh times as well. First album just done, I've started work on the second as well as doing some pieces for other people to use on their records.

Any feedback on any of these is more than welcome.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
