  1. amazing!! although women never give you money back! heh.
  2. i used to have an 8 string bass but i had to sell it when on the brink of complete money death! but yeah, that one plays so nice..
  3. if that had been in the UK, he'd probably have got about a year's sentence!!! it's fucking pathetic over here.
  4. i don't even know where to start with this!! what a disgrace.

    Disturbed....

aye, each to their own, they just annoy me more than most bands do.
  6. and me, at this year's Obscene Extreme festival! how old do i look now!!!
  7. this is me very drunk at Obscene Extreme festival in Czech Republic a couple of years back...
  8. this is me playing a gig in london supporting The Red Chord
  9. argh, i just deleted yourupsetman from our forum database, see you're having problems with spambots/spampeople as well.. DAMN they're so annoying, funny at first, but floods after a while!
  10. yeah, i like all that stuff from lilker too, but it's mostly about brutal truth for me, their first two albums are what really got me into more manic grindcore.. 'extreme conditions demand extreme responses' is just a riff-feast! i've never been a fan of soulfly, but there are some songs on their latest one that reminds me of 'arise' and 'chaos a.d.' era sepultura, i was pleasantly surprised.. i would like to have seen voivod to be honest, i like their older, weirder stuff, and then as they went on, they got more discordant and soundscape-y, which was very much my thing. cool band.
  11. i can see why it didn't click straight away.. took me a fair while to get into the vocals especially, but once it worked, i loved it. i like pungent stench too, they're good fun.

    Disturbed....

no, the band, they're absolutely atrocious!
  13. absolutely no competition. the two hilton girls are fit, and the two hearst girls are gorgeous, but the rest can keep their money.
  14. they've got nothing on the soloing of Meshuggah or Necrophagist, not even close! any of them.
  15. 'abbey road'. one of the best albums ever written, any style. without doubt. and that song 'i want you' is a work of pure genius!
  16. my band are playing quite a lot of gigs in the upcoming months, and here is a flyer for them.. http://www.myspace.com/reth
  17. it is, some of the most technically challenging music of any genre is in metal, extreme grindcore/death metal/tech metal is just jaw dropping.. bands like behold...the arctopus, necrophagist, meshuggah, executive distraction tasks, are playing some of the most advanced music ever.
  18. anyone else got it/or at least seen the film.. i really like the film even though i thought i was going to hate it, and then recently i got the soundtrack which is done by Yann Tiersen, and it's incredible.. generally in the French chilled out, waltz'y vein, but just makes me feel quite happy all round.
  19. i got a copy of this a while ago, but had no idea it was from a film.. orbital are/were one of those bands who could do nothing wrong whatsoever.. i think i've just about got everything as well, and all of it is awesome, i was devastated to hear that they were calling it a day, wish i could have seen their last performance, but at least i did get to see them a couple of times a few years back.
  20. more or less.. for death/thrash stuff it's generally the swedish who are the most popular.. for black metal it's norway and sweden for grind, i'd say the czech republic and the UK have a lot to offer and france are coming up on the outside as a bit of an underdog too recently. to be honest though, the country that is doing the most for extreme metal is canada, there are some insanely technical and boundary pushing bands coming out of there at the moment.
  21. feed me weird things is my favourite of squarepusher, just completely insane, but so well put together.. major fan and devastated that i've still not seen him live (especially since i'm a bassist, and i'd love to watch him play that stuff live)
  22. For getting full albums, my favourite so far has got to be archive.org. i've found so many ambient/minimal/dark electro/drum and bass things on there... the metal side of it is generally pretty rubbish, but the ambient stuff is incredibly good... found about 30 albums once by an artist called mystified, who is highly recommended, and around 25 by nofi/found. the latter of which is one of my all time favourite electro artists.
  23. http://www.myspace.com/squarepushermusic no other words for it i don't think, but sheer genius.. anyone that can make Richard D. James (The Aphex Twin) sit back in an interview and be called his main influence on HIS music has to be a superior being! the perfect amalgamation of jazz and drum n bass.
