After years of anticipation, Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y finally released their long-awaited joint project yesterday called 2009. Named after the year their debut project (How Fly) came out, 2009 contains 14 tracks in total and features guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign (“Benz Boys”) and Problem (“Getting Loose”), meanwhile production is handled by the likes of Harry Fraud, Cardo, Ricky P, Sledgren, and more.

One of the tracks that’s been getting early attention is the Ty Dolla $ign-featured cut “Benz Boys.” With Ty on the hook & chorus, listen as Spitta & Wiz boast about their long money in this fly, Dame Grease-produced cut. Hit play and let us know what you think.

If you’re trying to see Wiz & Curren$y live in person, you can do so on their 2009 Tour. Peep tour dates right here.

Quotable Lyrics:

Okay, I only care 'bout the money
Can't no one take it from me
And I'm smilin' all the time, but nigga, ain't shit funny
Leavin' out the Gucci store, nigga, ain't shit bummy
On the paper chase on your ring, they shit runnin'
Took four years off and the checks kept comin'
All the girls wanna treat me like I'm special or somethin'
We at number one, mean we standin' next to nothin'
And the shit you rock is fake, but that's another discussion

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
