Nike has paid homage to a large variety of different things so it only makes sense that they would go ahead and show their respect for yes that's right, an interstate. Interstate 95 to be exact.

The Beaverton brand will be releasing an Air Max pack on January 26th dubbed the "I-95" which will include an Air Max 97 and an Air Max 95, according to Sneaker News. Throughout the upper of the shoe, there are toolings that reference the various surroundings one would see while traveling along the 2000 mile stretch of road.

For instance, in both pairs, the upper is black but with a hint of pavement grey. There are also diagonal lines, accented by dashed lines that make the upper give you the feeling of a road. The Air Max 97 will include green accents that reference the signs found on the interstate while the orange on the Air Max 95 is a nod to the construction grounds that surround the road.

If you're looking to buy these, you will be able to find them on Nike.com on the aforementioned date of January 26th. Each shoe will run you $160 USD.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
