Trippie Redd has had a pretty huge 2018 thanks to multiple project releases, a spot on Travis Scott's Astroworld Tour and back in February, he signed to Quality Control's management company "Solid Foundation." The mega-label boasts a roster that includes Migos and Lil Yachty among others. Considering the label's pedigree and their relationship with Trippie, it's no surprise QC's CEO "P" gave the "Love Scars" rapper a gift to remember.

"Merry Christmas from @qcmceo_p the only person that got me a gift ? for Christmas...let that sink in love you big bro? they mad cause our foundation solid," Trippie wrote on Instagram, showing off a huge diamond-encrusted chain. The iced out piece is in the shape of the "Solid Foundation" logo and will probably weigh a ton around Trippie's neck.

Despite how generous the gift is, we can't help but notice how this was the only gift Trippie got this holiday season. Hopefully, the rapper had a better Christmas than he's leading on in this post.

One thing is for sure though, this latest piece will go great with the rest of his elaborate chains which include a spikey ball and chain, a character from his Life's A Trip album cover and even an icy depiction of Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
