A new year is upon us which means Jordan Brand is ramping up their efforts to provide sneakerheads with some dope new colorways to start the year. Part of that effort is creating "Chinese New Year" colorways of already established silhouettes. According to Instagram user @hanzuying, the Jordan 12 will be one of those models getting the "Chinese New Year" treatment.

The model which is being used to celebrate "the year of the pig," has a black satin upper, with white leather on top that goes from the toe box to the sides of the shoe. The midsole of the shoe is all white, with a gold "Jumpman" piece right above it. There is also gold detailing on the eyelets, adding a pop of color to the all black tongue. The sockliner of the shoe is unique as it features a multitude of vibrant colors and patterns, adding some flair to these kicks.

HanZuYing said on Instagram that these will most likely release in January. Considering Chinese New Year is on February 5th of 2019, expect these to drop closer to the end of the month.

These will release in men's and gs sizes so kids who want the shoe are in luck.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
