Elijah Blake recently dropped a new project entitled "Bijoux 23." The offering strings together 8 tracks recorded over a single week with producer SLMN. The singer managed to get Kaija in the booth for a joint track. Their voices meld together on "Can't Sleep" as they express the contentious emotions around an inconvenient love connection the lyrics label as an "intimate crime."

Blake is a most prolific artist. Bijoux 23, which serves as a sequel to his 2012 Bijoux 22, is his second release of the year. The vocalist paired up to create Realm, an EP made of 5 genre-bending songs, with Ben Strick as an Electronic soul duo called KaraJishi. The 26-year-old covered all his bases this yet, making the prospect of even more music in 2019 quite exciting given his level of output and versatility.

Quotable Lyrics

Wanna wake up with you by my side
Good at makin' bad decisions
Oh, but it feels so right

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
