Back in August Safaree Samuels let his 222,000 Twitter followers know that he was about to buy an engagement ring in hopes of it bringing good vibes for a wife to be. "Whoever she is will have the baddest rock a finger can hold!! I just wanna ice her up," he tweeted at the time. It looks like all of his creative visualizations, hopes and prayers paid off since the "Hunnid" rapper is officially off the market after popping the question to Erica Mena.

The video below shows a suited up Safaree getting down on one knee in an elaborate candlelit room as Erica makes her way down the makeshift aisle to her future husband. TMZ  reports that the ring is worth $175,000, adorned with 14 carats in platinum. Not only that, but R&B group 112 was present singing  "Cupid" and "Crazy Over You" with a live band and fireworks went off outside after Erica said yes.

Erica and Safaree started dating earlier this year and will be entering the new year as a happily engaged couple. It's safe to say the next step will see Erica moving in with Safaree since he just bought himself a new home.

"Trust the process. Pray and stay positive through it all! Few years ago I lived in an Airbnb in la," he wrote on Instagram. "7 bedrms later I’m here! I never let the down times get me down! My faith too strong I don’t do people wrong and I protect my energy at all times!"

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
