Domo Genesis will always be viewed as an underrated part of the OddFuture engine since reduced to a symbolic order. This afternoon, Domo came out the woodwork to announce his latest project since the beginning of the year. Interestingly enough, when pieced together Facade Records and Aren't U Glad You're U? make up a full-body of work, and I'll admit there might a be pressing need to play catchup, one after the other.

To mark the occasion, Domo unveiled a video single emblematic of the project, and if I might say so myself, "Online" will likely cast a spell on a lot of the hip-hop listeners who had written him off. The full project, bearing a significant title connoting fraudulence, is set to debut on December 7th wherever records are streamed or bought. The final product is projected to include the likes of Buddy, Chip Tha Ripper, Cozz, and IDK. Going off first impressions, I'd label 2019 a year of reckoning for the former OddFuture talisman.

Quotable Lyrics:

Getting high enough to bring a cloud down
I done had this pope vision for a while now
I inspire so many n****s should bow down
Freestylin' every word to me is WildStyle.

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
