Download of the Day: DownThemAll

DtA lets you download in just one click all the links or images contained in a webpage; to refine your preferences you can use fully customizable filters, and select just the kind of files you really want to download.

DtA offers a lot of flexibility in the filters, taking advantage of regular expressions, to get you just want you want (think all MP3s from a page in one click). Aside from its namesake purpose, DownThemAll is also a fully-featured download manager that can rename files, create subdirectories, and speed up your downloads. Since the default Firefox download manager is pretty slim on the feature-scale, a lot of people do use different download managers; let us know what you use in the comments or at tips at lifehacker.com.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
