Genesis To Reform With Gabriel

Recommended Posts

genesis.jpgPeter Gabriel is set to confirm he is rejoining Genesis for a new album and tour.

Gabriel left the group in 1975 at the height of their fame in the seventies to pursue a successful solo career, whilst drummer Phil Collins moved to the front of the group to lead them to a string of eighties dad-rock hits.

However, the pair – now both in their mid-fifties – will announce at a press conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday that they will be working together once more, according to the Daily Star.

Has anyone seen grass growing lately?

I wonder who will be doing vocal duties. My guess is that they will switch out. Collins looks like a moron behind a drumkit.

You talking about the lawnmower?? by chance.. you can tell by the way he walks

i agree. post-Peter Gabriel Genesis sounded like Phil Collins to me, if you get my meaning. never saw the point of his (collins) solo stuff.

But this all bodes very well--hope they come through here! :good job:

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
