Very good list. It is nearly identicle to what I install on new PCs for people to use.

I'd switch VLC for Media Player Classic with K-lite codec pack to cover RM files. I used to use ABC, now I would use uTorrent, instead of Azureus as Azureus couls be a bit much for a beginner.

In saying that, I'd do a little jig if Dell/HP/etc announced they were going to pre-install this software instead of the current crap I have to spend hours cleaning off for friends and relatives!
