Filetopia is a great little filesharing community..that encrypts both your traffic and IP address for maximun security and safety.

Great for every type of file ..it features numerous chatrooms each promoting a specialty.

Give it a try..... fly low and avoid the radar. B)

When Audiogalaxy went down I tried to move my group to Filetopia, but it was just too confusing for many members. There were "alternate realities" in which a group might exist, and it was very easy to be transferred to the one which was actually the duplicate group and reality, with fewer users. I finally moved the groups, Audiogalaxy All Stars and Front Porch Rockers, to Soulseek about 1 1/2 years ago.

I've since moved on, but I believe the groups are still there with a few people in them.

Yes... sorry... I dont know what came over me....

Stuck on dial up any P2P is a chore to run. I found Soulseek to be the best for actually getting things completed where WinMX and KaZaA were sadly hopeless... as was Napster and Audiogalaxy.

I may give Filetopia a try.... still looking for some stuff I had on vinyl :)

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
