BTW, isn't Feenie's Wife your sister?

No, actually she is my Step-Dads neice. We've known each other for about 20 years and didn't actually start hanging out until about 5 years ago. We are like long lost twins if you put us together, pretty funny. We are built exactly the same, we talk the same way, we like the same things(excluding men) it's just funny. I know alot of 'on the net' have said we're the same person but we're not.

And the way I see my sisters situation is.....she'll fix it if and when she decides the time is right. I have offered to take her in, she can drink and party as normal...just no drugs IN MY HOUSE! And she refuses to do it. I have offered to help her get her GED and get into the Army or something...she doesn't have time. I have offered almost everything I can and she doesn't want it so, I give up. She'll either figure it out or die a sad lonely girl.

When I was at my worst, a few caring people tried to help me. I didn't want to hear it. I had to have my own personal awakening, hitting bottom, so to speak. It has to be the same with her. When she seeks help, do all that you can. But until that point, sad as it is, there is nothing you can do. When she does want help, this is one of the best organisations in the world.

As corny as it might sound, this outfit has saved countless thousands of lives. But those lives must want to be saved. As they say in the meetings "It Works If You Work It".

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
