They created the Talon News Service as a cover for Gannon, enabling him to set up Bush and the press secretary for talking points, and to make his own right wing statements while asking the pre-arranged question. The way to survive in Washington now is to turn your head when something seems to be fishy in favor of the Bush administration. It was obvious to all his peers that Gannon was treating the Bush crew very kindly, but he was hardly alone in that respect. He simply blended into the favored "friends" who were loyal to Bush and were rewarded by being called upon regularly. He finally got so prone to editorializing in the act of asking his questions that bloggers and a very few reporters started the investigation of him. His male escort website was uncovered during this scrutiny.
