If Thanksgiving prep has taught me anything over the years, it's that I absolutely detest laboring over the clean up process—both before guests arrive for dinner and after they leave. While a good vacuum doesn't entirely obviate the chore, it does help make the job easier. Strong suction means that you don't have to go over the same area multiple times, and if you opt for a robot vacuum and mop combo, you can mostly automate the process except where deep cleaning or spot cleaning is required.

Last month, Olivia Rodrgo performed in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge while on the promotional tour for her second album GUTS, and she covered “Stick Season,” a song by folk-pop musician Noah Kahan. A lawsuit has been filed against Anti-Flag’s Justin Sane for sexual assault, as Rolling Stone reports. The legal action comes a couple months after the band broke up following multiple accusations against the frontman.

A Compton street has been renamed in honor of the late Eazy-E, as ABC reports. As of yesterday, the 100 block of Auto Drive South is officially named Eazy Street. Compton mayor Emma Sharif, members of city council, and some of Eazy-E’s family were in attendance for the ceremony.

Fresh off Grammy nominations for Record and Song Of The Year, Miley Cyrus performed her #1 hit “Flowers” live for the first time at an invite-only show at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Though the single came out at the beginning of this year, the only time Cyrus has sort of sung it in real-time is for the Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) concert special. At that same Chateau Marmont performance, she also debuted a new song. Watch some video below.

Lenovo filed a lawsuit against AsusTek Computer Inc. and Asus Computer International, claiming that Asus' laptops infringe on four of Lenovo's patents. Lenovo is seeking damages and for Asus to stop selling Zenbook laptops and other allegedly infringing products in the US.
The lawsuit [PDF] filed November 15 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California says Lenovo's looking for a jury trial and "damages, including lost profits, caused by the alleged patent infringement." On Tuesday, Lenovo announced that it filed a patent infringement action against Asus with the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Four patents
The lawsuit centers on four patents. The first, entitled "Methods and apparatus for transmitting in resource blocks" was issued in 2021 and relates to minimizing the delay experienced during an uplink package transmission by reducing the number of steps for a wireless device to upload data.

Most Ars readers still probably know Nvidia best for its decades-old GeForce graphics cards for gaming PCs, but these days Nvidia's server GPU business makes GeForce look like a hobby project.
That's the takeaway from Nvidia's Q3 earnings report, which shows Nvidia's revenue up 206 percent from the same quarter last year and 34 percent from an already-very-good Q2. Of the company's $18.12 billion in revenue, $14.51 billion was generated by its data center division, which includes AI-accelerating chips like the H200 Tensor Core GPU as well as other cloud and server offerings.
And though GeForce revenue was a much smaller $2.86 billion, this was still a solid recovery from the same quarter of Nvidia's fiscal 2023, when GeForce GPUs earned just $1.51 billion and were down 51 percent compared to fiscal 2022. Nvidia has released several new mainstream GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs this year, including the $299 RTX 4060. And while these more affordable GPUs aren't staggering upgrades from previous-generation cards, Steam Hardware Survey data shows the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti are being adopted pretty quickly, more than can be said of competing GPUs like AMD's RX 7600 or Intel's Arc series.

It may have been a chaotic week at OpenAI, but the company has somehow still found time to roll out a product. "ChatGPT with voice" is available to free users of the ChatGPT app. This feature launched for paying users in September, and if you haven't heard, it's a full-blown voice assistant. The feature is still slowly rolling out to devices; on my Android phone, I don't have a "headphone" icon anywhere, even with a Plus subscription.
When you have the feature, you can open the app, press the "headphone" icon, ask a question, and a stilted robot voice will read out a reply. It's just like the voice assistants from Apple, Amazon, or Google, but this one is powered by a large language model. ChatGPT's voice model is purely a question-and-answer type of voice assistant, though. Usually, these things are handy for what they can do on your behalf—make a phone call, control a smart home, take a note, or make a calendar appointment—but this can only answer questions.

Google and Amazon are rebooting their voice assistants to use large language models, so ChatGPT's voice functionality is definitely a preview of the future. The demo about buying pizza for a large group is more complicated than the current Big Tech voice assistants can handle. ChatGPT's response is also longer-winded than most voice assistants, giving a 66-word, 23-second answer describing the imagined pizza-eating scenario in excruciating detail.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman isn't just reporting about the inner workings of Apple; he's breaking news about upcoming Sonos products. In a report published Tuesday, Gurman revealed that Sonos is months away from releasing a competitor to high-end wireless headphones after years of vague rumors.
Additionally, Sonos is reportedly working on a Roku Ultra- or Apple TV 4K-like set-top box that would allow users to watch video from a wide range of streaming TV apps.
The Bloomberg article says the device will cost between $150 and $200 and will be a small black box. We've seen some prior reports that flesh this out a bit; Sonos has been working on something called Home Theater OS (which would be Android-based) for some time, and voice control is said to be a key feature. Sonos is also considering launching its own streaming video service. The device will support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, and it will seamlessly work with Sonos' existing home theater speakers.

Two members of the Brian Jonestown Massacre got into a brawl on stage during a show at the Forum in Melbourne on Tuesday night. As ABC reports, the band continually left the stage to argue during their beginning of their set. Halfway through, founding member and frontman Anton Newcombe grabbed guitarist Ryan Van Kriedt’s guitar and hit him over the head with it; they chased each other around the stage and things descended into an all-out fight.

The popular South Korean girl group Blackpink have received honorary Member Of The Order Of The British Empire medals, given to them by King Charles III in a ceremony on Wednesday. The four members of Blackpink — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — were welcomed into Buckingham Palace as part of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the United Kingdom.

Ms. Lauryn Hill has postponed the rest of the dates on her The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 25th anniversary tour, save for a show in Philadelphia that is set to take place this weekend. She had previously postponed a number of shows on the tour, including that Philadelphia one, which was originally supposed to take place in October. The cancelations have stemmed from complications with vocal strain.

Axl Rose has been accused of sexually assaulting a former model in 1989 in a new lawsuit that was filed in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday. As The Daily Beast first reported, Shelia Kennedy — a model for Penthouse — claims that the Guns N’ Roses frontman violently assaulted her in his hotel room after they met at a New York City night club. What was at first described as a consensual encounter “quickly became not just uncomfortable by disturbing,” the suit reads, as Rose tried to engage Kennedy to participate in group sex.

Last year, the Atlanta-born pop duo Coco & Clair Clair released their debut album, Sexy. This year, they expanded it with a deluxe edition featuring remixes by Empress Of, the 1975’s George Daniel, and more.
