John Fogerty is one of the greatest songwriters of all-time. He is also a great performer and guitar player.

Yeah, I mean "Why wasn't the performance of "You Can't Do That" included in the movie? I think it was filmed. Was it because of the nature of the lyrics? Was John's jealousy and possessiveness judged too harsh for the teen audience of 1964? "I Should Have Known Better" was the B side of "A Hard Day's Night." "You Can't Do That" and "Can't Buy Me Love" were back to back.

Why was "You Can't Do That" not included in A Hard Day's Night?

I'll give the Stones credit. It takes guts to get out there at their age and play their brand of rock & roll. A lot of youngsters will make fun of them. But that won't bother The Rolling Uglys. I watched Shania on Larry King last night and liked what I heard. Shania is well-grounded. She has not been swept away by fame and success. She is a practical woman. She will be 40 in August, and I wondered about her future. Shania and Mutt Lange have one child and do not mean to have anymore. She said she will continue to tour and pursue her career.

I still like Shania and always will. I rate her with Elvis, Beatles & ABBA, and that is high. She turns 40 in August and may never have another hit. Who knows? She is taken care of financially so she has nothing to worry about in that area. I like the 3 new songs that are on the Greatest Hits: Party For Two, Don't & I Ain't No Quitter. I hope there is a compilation of her videos from the last couple of years. I will grab it up as soon as it hits the stores. I saw Shania in concert twice. She is the greatest!

The 1970s was a musical Renaissance. It had something for everyone. Baby boomers got Vietnam off their backs, and music bloomed. My favorites came late in the decade, the music of ABBA and the disco explosion.

That is the first I have heard of it. I will have to do some research.

I gave myself to the Swedes for awhile. Roxette was a great 90s band from Sweden fronted by Per Gessle and Marie Fredricksson. Their albums, Look Sharp! & Joyride scored big. "It Must Have Been Love" was a #1 hit from the film, Pretty Woman. Roxette had 4 #1 records in the U.S. That is amazing when you consider that ABBA had only one #1 in the U.S. (Dancing Queen). Roxette was influenced by ABBA but more influenced by The Beatles.

This is rediculous. The George Harrison estate made mega-millions off Beatle fans. They made a lot off me. I do not believe the doctor forced Harrison to do anything against his will. Even if he coerced him a little, I do not think it hurt Harrison. This is another example of the greed of the families of famous people after they become rich. They want it all.

One of my favorite movies is "Carrie" from 1952. Eddie Albert played a travelling salesman who had an affair with Carrie (Jennifer Jones). The movie was from the novel called "Sister Carrie" by Theodore Dreiser. I did a book report on it for an English class in college. It is a shame that Eddie Albert did not make it to 100 like George Burns and Bob Hope. That is a long life.
