9. George Zimmerman has been charged with second degree murder for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin and after weeks of protesting, Martin's parents are relieved that he has finally been arrested. The 28-year-old Florida man turned himself in to custody on Wednesday and shortly afterwards his murder charge was announced at a press conference. Nas, 50 Cent, Young Jeezy And Bun B Address Trayvon Martin Shooting In an interview with the Associated Press, Sybrina Fulton said that she would gave her son's killer a chance to apologize. "I would probably give him an opportunity to apologize," Fulton said. "I would probably ask him if there were another way that he could have settled the confrontation that he had with Trayvon, other than the way it ended, with Trayvon being shot." Martin's father, Tracy Martin, had even more questions for the neighborhood watchman, telling the Associated Press he wanted to know, "Was it really worth it?" "The question I would really like to ask him is, if he could look into Trayvon's eyes and see how innocent he was, would he have then pulled the trigger?" Martin said. "Or would he have just let him go on home?" 12. By Rob Markman Trayvon Martin was shot to death inside a gated community in Florida on February 26, and after weeks of rallies and protests on behalf of the slain teen, his shooter, 28-year-old neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman, has been charged in the case. Zimmerman turned himself into authorities on Wednesday (April 11) and shortly afterwards, at a press conference held in Jacksonville, Florida, it was announced that Zimmerman has been charged with second degree murder. By the time police arrived on the scene, Martin was shot dead and Zimmerman, who claimed self-defense, was not arrested or charged with a crime. Trayvon didn't have a weapon. A week after the shooting, Sanford Police Chief Billy Lee said there was no evidence to dispute Zimmer's self-defense claim and they couldn't arrest Zimmerman because he was protected by the so-called "Stand Your Ground" law that allows Florida residents to shoot someone they reasonably believe is threatening them. According to reports, Zimmerman told police Martin punched him in the nose, knocked him down and repeatedly slammed his head into the ground. "Both of Us" is produced by Dr. Luke and it opens with the country star sweetly belting out a few notes, before Bobby Ray takes things over to add his verse. Listen to "Both of Us" via HypeTrak “Taylor’s extended Hustle Gang. She a part of the crew," T.I. told Fuse in March. "She just ain’t got her dog tags yet, but she’s a part of the crew tho.” When asked how Bobby Ray ended up on a song with Taylor Swift B.o.B revealed that it was Taylor who came to Atlanta and reached out to Grand Hustle about working together. T.I. Was 'Surprised And Confused' By Taylor Swift Duet This comes on the heels of all three performers sharing the stage together at various shows over the past year. 20. Part of what makes "Cabin in the Woods" so great is the clear love of movies on display by director Drew Goddard and his co-writer Joss Whedon. Every inch of the celluloid is an ode to the horror movie genre, but if you're going to get the full effect of what "Cabin in the Woods" wants to get across, there's some watching you'll have to do. We've pull together a playlist of five films that you might want to consider checking out or rewatching before heading to the theaters this weekend. "Cloverfield" Before Drew Goddard got his chance to make his directorial debut with "Cabin in the Woods," he cut his cinematic teeth by writing "Cloverfield" for director Matt Reeves and producer J.J. Abrams. Four years after the frenzy of the viral campaign and the secrecy around the title, "Cloverfield" is often maligned for setting off the latest wave of found footage movies. What it isn't praised for was the way it played with the conventions of the monster movie genre. With so much of the focus on the monster most of the time, putting the camera literally at its feet with someone on the ground was a creative take on a tired premise. "Serenity" Joss Whedon isn't just the master of creating cult television shows. When given the freedom to write and direct his own movie, the man can make one hell of a good one. Whedon had a handful of feature writing credits to his name before he was finally given the opportunity to write and direct his own movie. The result was his most successful cinematic effort to date and a true expansion of the "Firefly" universe. It proved that Whedon could take on something with the scale of—oh, I don't know— "The Avengers." "Scream" The release of the original "Scream" in 1996 turned into one of the most ironic examples of cause and effect in all of film history. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson made one of the truest parodies ever, a film that pointed out and poked fun at the conventions of its own genre while playing along the entire time. But the release led to the production of dozens of the kind of films that "Scream" was satirizing in the first place. "Cabin" also holds up a mirror to the horror genre, and does so in a way that is absurdly creative and that doesn't undercut the integrity of the story. "Hostel: Part II" And if you need a refresher in the worst tendencies of the horror movie genre, look no further than "Hostel: Part II." The kind of movie that "Cabin in the Woods" wants to criticize is the type where the characters are dumb and the kills are needlessly violent. The torture porn of the late 2000s is a far cry from the horror films that Whedon and Goddard know and love. It's worth watching because you have to see what's wrong before you fix it. "Evil Dead II" If you're going to talk about bizarre horror movies set in a cabin, it would be criminal not to mention Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead II." It's the sillier of the first two films and better at times because of it. Raimi wrote the book on messing with the horror movie, and the only way to pregame "Cabin in the Woods" would be to pop in Raimi's classic and see where it all began. What are your favorite horror movies? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter! View the full article

22. Last year the MPAA started a lawsuit against Hotfile, one of the Internet’s most popular cyberlocker services. The movie studios claim the file-hoster is promoting “massive digital theft” and want it to be shut down, an accusation Hotfile fiercely rejects. In recent months both parties have filed dozens of papers at court supporting their respective arguments. The MPAA describes Hotfile as a piracy haven akin to the likes of Megaupload. To substantiate this accusation the studios hired an expert who claimed that more than 90% of all downloads on the site are copyright infringing. In response Hotfile hired an expert who discredited the report, describing it as both “unreliable” and “unscientific.” And the defendant didn’t stop there. TorrentFreak has obtained a confidential report where Duke University Law Professor James Boyle presents some revealing facts about the non-infringing use of Hotfile. The document was filed under seal last month and reveals that sharing of non-infringing content is widespread on the cyberlocker. While the Professor does not assess what percentage of content on Hotfile is infringing, he does note that the two most downloaded files on the site are Open Source software. With 885,583 and 629,783 downloads respectively, the Open Source applications iREB and Sn0wbreeze were most shared, something Boyle believes the court should take into consideration. “The fact that it is highly likely that the two most commonly downloaded files on Hotfile are open source programs that seem to be licitly shared appears relevant to any assessment the court might make about the current usage of the system,” the Professor writes in his report. Linked to the popularity of the above applications, Boyle brings up another important argument. While the MPAA and others claim that affiliate programs which compensate users for generating downloads are solely setup to promote infringements, several software developers actually use them to generate revenue from their free programs. “At least two of the open source developers featured in this study were active participants in Hotfile’s ‘Affiliate’ program, thus being indirectly compensated for the programs they were freely providing to the public. This suggests that the Hotfile Affiliate program is capable of fulfilling the valuable function of compensating authors and distributors,” Boyle adds. The legitimate use of Hotfile doesn’t stop with Open Source software either. The Professor cites several other examples, from distributing a public domain version of Huckleberry Finn to sharing Creative Commons licensed movies. Finally, the report argues that cyberlockers such as Hotfile provide a very important function to both average users and professional content creators. They are one of the few options people have to conveniently distribute large files. “Hotfile provides a type of service that is very important in the architecture of the Internet. Transferring large files over the Internet is difficult. Gmail’s maximum file attachment size is 25MB, for example, and most email systems set lower limits.” “Independent open source developers or filmmakers collaborating on an open source film do not necessarily have their own servers from which material can be shared. The growth of distributed creative activity on the Internet suggests that the already important role for services such as Hotfile is likely to grow in the future,” Boyle concludes. While we can be certain the MPAA will try to downplay the non-infringing use of Hotfile, it is now up to the court to judge how the points raised by Professor Boyle are weighed. 23. RapFix Live When it comes to hip-hop hustle, Ace Hood is the hardest out. Today (April 11), the Florida MC is going to bring his hustle to "RapFix Live." As a rising star in DJ Khaled's We the Best camp, Ace Hood dropped his debut Gutta album in 2008 and followed up a year later with Ruthless. In 2011 Ace made his biggest impact when he released his third LP, Blood, Sweat & Tears. The album's lead single, "Hustle Hard," became an inescapable street anthem and even spawned a remix with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Top Dawg Entertainment's Schoolboy Q will also appear on "RapFix Live." The L.A. rhyme slinger has emerged from the same camp that launched Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock. In 2011, he dropped his debut, Setbacks, and in January, Schoolboy released his second independent album, Habits & Contradictions. Then in March it was announced he signed to Interscope through TDE. Over the past several months, Schoolboy has risen as one of rap's most promising young talents. View the full article
24. Wiz Khalifa's sophomore album O.N.I.F.C is set to debut on August 28th. Back in February Wiz explained the title of the album during a visit to "Sway in the Morning," saying, "It's the Only N-Word in First ClassIt's inspired by Prodigy's H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong." When broken down, the title of Prodigy's 2000 debut stands for "Head N---a in Charge," so for his Only N---a in First Class, Wiz took cues from the Mobb Deep MC. There is a clean version of the album, too: One Night in First Class. Still, for Wiz the explicit title has so much more meaning. "I was just talking about me being a young rich dude and being black," Wiz told Shade 45 hosts Sway and Devi Dev about his experience in airports. "It looks crazy to them when I walk up to them and show them my ticket or I'm going in priority seating, They're like 'You're sure?' " On one hand Khalifa is glad that he's made it; on the other, the racism that he's experienced has left a bad taste in the rapper's mouth. "It's a good feeling and then it's like a bad feeling because it's like, 'Damn, why do you feel like that about me,' " he said. Wiz Khalifa wants to motivate Pittsburgh artists with his success. Earlier in the interview, the Pittsburgh spitter told Sway how his next album will differ from his first. "When I did Rolling Papers, I was like, I'm gonna make these big songs, I'm gonna make these big records," he said. "What I did before when I made my music was I just went in there and made music and it was what I really liked and what I felt at the time. I kinda developed a pattern of what I was going towards and that's what I did on this album." No word on when O.N.I.F.C. will be released, but Wiz says it is pretty much done. He didn't confirm any guests, but he did reveal that he worked with at least one pretty accomplished producer. "I got production from Pharrell on there. I worked with a lot of different people on this one, but I kept the sound really consistent," he said. "I made sure everybody that I worked with and everything that I did, they all came to my world with it."
